![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just got my first of the season tonight. It was late and I could only see his left antler and it was nice. Shot him, found him and he had a spike on his right side... He has a big sist on his left front though so Im hoping its just a wound from a year or so ago. Ill post pics tomorrow. He is one big deer though and it was my first bow kill on the ground. ![]() |

![]() | I've only been out twice, both times in the rain. With it being cooler I thought they'd move a little more, but I'm just not on the right food source, I think. I saw one doe the second day, kicked her out of her bed on the way in... Last edited by Kimber7man; 10-19-2009 at 11:34. Reason: forgot to answer the question! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | We'll here are the pictures. It was on Friday night when the sun was down. It was about 5 min. until close when I heard some rustling behind me. Keep in mind I'm on the ground setup in some trees. I saw a deer come out and started rubbing on some trees 10 yds to the North east of me. He then walked to the west and right out about 5 yds from me. I saw a big body, one nice left antler so I took the shot. I came to find out he was wounded and his right antler is not much. But, this was the first deer I shot on the ground with my bow so I can't really complain. ![]() ![]() This was earlier in the day and right out in the beans there is where I shot him. The sticker is a nice reminder to us instinctive shooters. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have been out on four half day hunts at Jasper Pulaski, 3 sunrise to midday and one midday to sundown. I had one close call but couldn't draw, I had two doe in my area but always had one of their eyes on me.

![]() | Well nothing last weekend again. We are setup on a bean field with a large amount of woods behind. We thought for sure that the deer would walk the edge of the field and we would be in great shape. Our cameras show that is what happens. Well on Sunday night four doe and one buck walk through the middle of field past us both. After that there were two other bucks walking through the middle. If it were gun season it would have been target practice but such is bow season. We will be back out this weekend. Dennis |
