 | Iron sights vs. scope for slug gun I have asked this before but thought I would again since its closer to gun season. Been bow hunting this season and love it. Going to try my hand at shotgun as well. As I spend time in the tree stand, I wonder if a scope on my 870 is really a good idea. Since I mostly have dense woods to hunt in, I doubt I will take more than a 75 yard shot. Sometimes I feel like I am more accurate with iron sights but the allure of a scope is always there. I have the mount and simmons pro diamond all ready to go. Wondering which way to go before I head to atterbury to get sighted in and shoot those expensive sabots to see which brand the gun likes. |
