![]() ![]() | I think everybody is giving you good advice here. Different hunting areas and conditions require different set ups. If you can duplicate your hunting set up you will use that would be great. If you are going to hunt from a stand set it up or a second one up (same height) where you can shoot at a target at the ranges you will try to harvest deer in the woods or along a fence row. If you are hunting in the woods and they are full of large mature trees and it will be darker then shoot early or late in the day so the sun light conditions will be close to what you will have in the woods would be great. Then Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice and then Practice a little more. I know two older gentlemen in their late 60’s & early 70’s, Meet them through a mutual friend, they have not gone deer hunting in years and both are going to go out this year. They both have already put $100.00 worth of them there new slugs through their shotguns. Oh for the days when the House and Truck are paid for plus a little cash in the bank. ![]() Anyway I know it cost but try some different brands of slugs to find the one that gives you the best accuracy. You do not have to get carried away here but try a couple. Then hopefully the cheaper ones, you know the ones that only cost $12 or $13 for 5 will work great. Anyway good luck hunting this year and be safe! ![]() One more |
