![]() | My opinion would be the Air Force also. They do have better living easier jobs and also better jobs for when she would get out of the military.Me i was dumb and went into all combat arms jobs so there isnt much of that i can do when i get out of the ARMY.But the are alot of other great benefits in other branches as well. The National guard is a really good one if she is interested in going to college full time they pay 100% of your tuition. And it would be only like once a month that she would serve after she got out of basic training and her tech school for whatever job she would choose. But also other reserve branches might offer that to im not sure. But some good advice would be to go talk to all the branches and find out what they have to offer. What benefits they have. And if they have and kind of bonuses. But i wouldnt try and push her into something that she dont necessarily want to do.Let her make the decision just give her some tips and advice to what to ask recruiters and other people that she may know thats already in the military. But let her make the final decision because if she gets into something she dont like she is going to be very miserable for the years that she signed up for. I know from experience because some of my army buddies hate their job and wish they could just get out everyday.I hope this little bit of information is of some help to you and your family. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask |

Thank you for obviously raising her to be proud of America. There are many of us out here that are proud of the young men and women serving and wanting to serve in our armed services. God bless both of you.

![]() | I didn't take the time to read all the way thru the thread, but heck why should that stop me from adding my two bits. I am retired NAVY. 20 years and did 13 of it in the pacific/io. Even did my share in sunny southeast asia. Now if she wants a easy way out, join the Air Force. But hey if you are looking for real easy, why join at all. I think she should base her decision on what she wants to do job wise and then try the service that best meets that need. I mean she could join the air force and be a bus driver. She may join the Marines and be a computer specialist or the Navy may offer cryptology (my personal favorite). So each can have something to offer. But if you just want easy, then stay home and live with mom and dad. But if your willing to sign a blank check for the amount "upto and including your life" joing the military. Go for the branch that can best meet your needs. Oh and a plug for my shallow water brothers/sisters: Don't forget to check out the Coast Guard..... ![]() |
