  | I had personal experience with this last May. We had a student who was nursing and signed up for a basic handgun class with Vicki Farnam. Vicki was about livid when she found out 2 days beforehand that the student was nursing. She called her and tried to talk her out of coming, and the woman wouldn't hear of it. Vicki then recommended that she pump 3-days of breast milk to keep in reserve for after the class, and to pump and throw away all milk for three days after the class, in order to purge any lead accumulation. Lead is a real issue in these situations, as it gets fed directly to the newborn.
