    | Women's Unarmed Self Defense - Indy Area My wife has expressed interest in taking an unarmed self-defense/not a victim class. Googling gives me a bunch of martial arts studios, but she's not looking to get decked out in a gi and do half moon steps for an hour a week. Anyone here know of anything? Women's self-defense, women's self defense, womens self defense, female self defense, rape defense - Model Mugging - this is kinda what I'm looking for, but haven't seen anything around Indy like it. Help me out, ladies, please.

| Check out Self Defense Systems on the southside of indy. Here is their website for more information. We have had a lot of women from our company attend classes at SDS because one of our deputies works there teaching self defense classes. By the way, Jamie is an excellent instructor.  | It's not on your side of town, but up on 96th Street you've got the Krav Maga studio. I've not tried it myself, but the lead instructor Jeff seemed like a pretty cool guy, and said that many of their classes are tailored especially for women. They also hold one-off seminars on such things, which could be an easy first-step. Check out the video on their homepage KRAV MAGA INDIANAPOLIS

| I also do a flashlight class that is a great first step for women (or anyone really) interested in non-firearm defense. There are some reviews of the last class posted in Tactics and Training.
