I believe weekday lunch was around $9 and weekend lunch was around $10. I don't remember much beyond that. If you can strap on a feedbag, it's definitely worth it.
My wife and I went there for lunch last Friday and got there early. It got pretty busy. I wanted to try this place. It's pretty cool. And it's all you can eat. Just get a new bowl and go back to the grille. The bad thing for me was a draft beer was $3.75. Too much. Have water and enjoy the experience.
I took Natalie shooting at 11 (after I had to move a couch, consequence of buying a new truck) at Applied Ballistics and then we went to Huhot for lunch at 1:30PM. The joint was still jumping! Completely packed.
Apparently Huhot has found its target market in Lafayette.
Food was good but the "hot sauce" is not so hot. I believe that if you are not sweating, then you are not eating. Huhot has to market to the LCD so their "hot" is not so hot. If you want it spicy, bring your own.
BTW, no eggs, chicken or duck.
Good grub for the dough, but I like bd's in Indy better.
Hmmm not spicy enough, then looks like I'm not going there. But this seems to be a very common problem of all the Chinese food joints in the greater Lafayette area. I order it extra spicy all the time and every place fails to deliver. The only one that seems to deliver the heat is the Szechuan Garden in WeLaf.
Yes, restaurants have to cater to the lowest common deniominator and it seems people here do not like anything "spicy".
I was at the Marsh in West Lafayette and witnessed a mom and dad yelling at their young son for picking up spicy potatos chips. They were both near tears and acting like he just picked up a Black Mamba. "No, it's spicy, no, no, no! Put it down!"
I just stood there like a duck in thunder. Maybe the kid had a food allergy?
I thought some of their sauces were pretty hot. I'm not a total lightweight when it comes to spicy foods but I don't go out of my way to eat it either. It's like hot wings. If I'm going to get flaming hot 10 alarm hot wings, why not just put the sauce on cardboard and eat it? All you're going to taste is the sauce anyway.
I stopped in to day about 4 and they were pretty bust seemed to be good but i dont think i had picked out the best sause so i figure if i find one ill be in good shape
