Warms up some, I want in on some of this :) and I'm sure my son would be overwhelmed with sweat as well (He's 16 and about as big as me, not diaper age) Where should I watch for upcoming events? Up in those fora I never look at?

I'm always amazed at how well INGOers deal with the weather. Last summer we had groups here in the pouring rain and they still claimed to be having fun. Yesterday they were lying in the snow and braving 23 degree weather without a single complaint! :yesway:

We did have a great time. The ‘friendly’ dueling tree match-ups were fun to watch. The tide can shift within seconds. It’s very dynamic. It also helps you learn to balance accuracy and speed. Several times, when a person had to reload or clear a malfunction, their opponent was able to get all six plates on the other side. The parallel to that situation in the real world is that your opponent just killed you.

The rifle rounds hitting the dueling trees were exciting. Lots of noise and action! The matches would go longer because the magazines held more ammo and the hits were more plentiful.

As mentioned before, targets painted white in the winter is a no-go. I’ve already bought two different colors of spray paint to try that should work in winter and other seasons.

There was no need to open the First Aid kit. That’s always a good sign as a host!

When people would shoot against Shooter521, they had to bring their best. If you didn’t get on the plates quickly, you found yourself behind the curve, never to recover. :ar15:

DaKruiser is a very good shot, even when standing, holding a heavy bolt gun, and making regular hits at 200+ yards!

My thanks to Mrs. Lovemywoods, Spasmo, Mrs. VUPDBlue, and Kr_Treefrog2 for getting the food prepared and out for everyone. Also thanks to the folks who surprised us by bringing yummy deserts and hot chocolate. (I also was blessed with some great looking brown eggs laid by Morgan County chickens!)

Combining the range time with an INGO Meet and Greet made for a great day! :ingo:

Winter doesn’t mean that all shooting has to stop. Just dress appropriately and head out to your favorite range!

I had such a great time yesterday, as much as I enjoy shooting it doesn't compare to the time spent with good friends.

Thanks to the LoveMyWoods family for having us!

That was a great day of shooting and time spent with new and old friends. The time went by too fast, but we had an awesome time abusing Bobcat Steel's materials.

I would love to have a dueling tree that I can easily transport to the range. We tried to move the paddles with a .22, but it didn't budge. I wonder if Kimball would make something for such a small caliber? Overall, the trees performed great.

I am very interested in a long distance shoot, so if anybody does something, I would appreciate an invitation.

Wish I could have been there, BUT...wife had planned a birthday party for me and that took precedent, after all what would a 50th B-day party be like when there's 30 people there for party and the guest of honor is not there.

If I could examine the trees I'm sure I could scale them to something that would go with a .22, but I don't really want to steal the thunder of the guys trying to make a living with this stuff. Maybe they could be talked into it, you know, as popular as the .22LR is starting to become. Definitely going to be watching for the next NFA day.

I remember Bobcat Steel saying he was working on a .22 version at the last 1500. :+1:
