Spent this weekend getting the garden ready for winter and next spring. Installed a hoop house over a couple of the raised beds to extend the growing season. We should be able to continue to harvest kale, swiss chard, carrots, radishes and onions well into December.

Harvested the last of our second planting of green beans a couple of weeks ago. This second planting was from seeds harvested from an early spring planting of non GMO seeds harvested in June and replanted in early August. The seeds worked great and we saved the seeds from the second harvest for next spring. We have plenty of non GMO seeds that we bought from Indiana Self Defense as a backup but we wanted to make sure we could depend on planting seeds we grew.

Yesterday,
Bought materials to build 3 kennels, and 3 dog houses.

Today,
Assembled 3 kennels, and 3 dog houses. Filled kennels with mulch.

Tonight,
Shiner and Chili...

Just picked up 5000 more large pistol primers and a new scale at Cabelas.

Stopped by Tractor Supply for a new fuel pump for the diesel storage tank, they were out of stock, my current pump failed.

I got nothing none...my Mom was in the hospital all week and I stayed up there with her most day until late night...I am so behind now...my hubby did get a dog kennel for free that we are going to put our bee hives in...Because I think our dog will try to play with them.

She had her Gall Bladder out, Took them like 4 days to finally decide was her gall bladder. but had 6 or adhesions the doctor also fixed...she also has cancer so this has been hard on her...she comes home tomorrow I think, and will be staying with me a few days until she is up and about. She is pretty spunky to be 74. Thanks for asking...I am hoping she is well enough to come to our meeting on Saturday...she enjoyed the last one. She is some what of a prepper.

Survival, Lol I didn't plan on that much but it was free and I was aske to take it all......so I did!

Church, trust me you will find plenty more to razz me over I am sure!

Cut a deal on a used field cultivator ...will pick up on the 17 th. Hope it cuts down
on field work/ improves yield. Also good for weeding the beach by the catfish
pond. Started a weight loss program with the wife...her idea ..but that means
she won't be sabotaging me with baked goods. Last diet I lost 30+ pounds till
she started baking. Lost 8+ lbs so far...

Today I went to zero in my 30-06... but my plans went a different direction. instead i was motimaging my brother to share his hunting experience with me and to teach me some hunting skills.

She had her Gall Bladder out, Took them like 4 days to finally decide was her gall bladder. but had 6 or adhesions the doctor also fixed...she also has cancer so this has been hard on her...she comes home tomorrow I think, and will be staying with me a few days until she is up and about. We got a free tree as well. The 16 year old grand kid got in trouble last week.
That is his job now splitting all the wood using a wedge and stacking it. He had to load and unload all the trucks of wood.
