Why is there so much love for these horrible guns. I myself got lured in years ago only to be disappointed. I hear all the tales of it being a 300 yard gun only to hear excuses on range day from the proud owners. I'm sure I will get flamed for this thread so my extinguisher is handy. I know that during the war they were used with some success, help me understand

I agree, they do not seem at all something I like. But again, if everybody loved them they would cost a whole lot more than the 99 bucks buds has them for!

I don't like them either. Tough to operate, stiff recoil, unwieldy as can be.

But for a $100 rifle and cheap ammo, it's hard to beat for a lot of folks. $100 for a rifle that would put meat on the table if need be.

Its hard to beat a 90$ rifle that shoots a 7.62 for 8cents a round

That's called Surplus, and it won't last forever.

I'd rather put that 100 toward something of better accuracy/ergonomics and actually use it outside of just making noise.

Brilliant- I agree . I would rather put the money towards a .22. If that is my only gun and I need to shoot on a budget .

I guess I've never had any accuracy problems with my Mosin Nagant rifles.... I like them because they are a novelty to me...
