If he was really as smart as he claims to be, he'd be taking the LAPD out with impunity.

LOL at the chief who says they can't catch him because he is good because they trained him.

    Right.

Frankly, I'm tired of this bs acting like all police are out there acting like this guy or other trigger happy cops. I'm tired of the cop bashing place this forum has become since I joined in 2008 before I was in LE. I go to work, try to be fair to people, maybe even get the chance to help a few, and go home safe.

You haven't read the reports of the shootings and the media is notoriously bias... you all should know that. Yet, when it meets your opinions of police officers, then it of course must be right. Do you not see the hypocrisy of that? Just like when an armed citizen shoots someone... I wait to hear the actual situation before making a judgement.

I don't know whether to just be done with this place altogether or what. I'm selling a few things on the classifieds and then I'm going from there.

I'm a huge proponent of the 2A... was before I was a cop, and still am. But my GOD do you guys make it easy to turn people like myself into the "us vs them" mindset.

I just need to stick to equipment part of the forums.

I have also been disgusted with the attitude of many here and on other forums bashing cops about this situation. First, I'm sure that all of the complainers have never been in such a dangerous situation. There was no warning, no expectation that someone was going to target the police. All of a sudden every cop in the L.A. area has become a target. The biggest and easiest targets are those in uniform and driving marked police cars. They have a right to be scared. Most have not had any special training and are just doing their jobs. The "tactical operators" have more training and are in plain clothes. The real targets are the "admin pukes" and rarely wear uniforms.

Second, Have some errors of judgement been made? Absolutely, but the dynamics have changed and self-preservation has taken over.

Third, this incident is really the first of its kind. There is no tactical plan or training for this. The same as there was at Columbine and the L.A. Bank Shootout.

Don't forget that in spite of the terror directed towards police they are still out there doing their jobs. They sure have a lot more courage than the critics hiding behind a keyboard.

I support and thank all police officers for the job they do.:patriot:

You don't see a problem with the police shooting innocent people in their manhunt for this guy?

One man is terrorizing hundreds or thousands of LAPD officers. Hundreds or thousands of LAPD officers are terrorizing hundreds of thousands of citizens in LA. Since you think LAPD isn't out of line, put your wife and children in a black Nissan Titan and send them driving around LA. Hell, they wouldn't be safe in a pink Tahoe out there apparently.

Poke Poke... Provoke! It reads like all other propoganda!

Too Easy! Too blatant! I say Propaganda! Provocation! Or at least a revised political interpretation.
And when this is turned into a Great Reason to have the AWB in place and the Drones in our skies... The Apparatchik Has once again swayed the masses into long lines, for the short walk off the cliff!:noway:

A manhunt like this is the perfect opportunity for introducing America to domestic drone strikes and martial law. It will happen in a story just like this, and most people will accept it. I'm waiting for the word terrorism to start being thrown around.

It only takes one man, one excuse, to suspend rights en masse and roll out the full potential of the police state. Watch and see.

You mean this isn't just workplace violence?

As the vehicle approached the house, officers opened fire, unloading a barrage of bullets into the back of the truck.

This troubles me. How do you shoot the back end of a truck 40 times as it approaches.

In my comments above, I do not condone what happened or how the police responded. I consider what happened to be a tragedy of poor judgement by the officers. Should they be convicted of 1st Degree murder? No. I have sympathy for them and the victims. I have no doubt they are on the side of the good guys.

I just find the attitude of "cop bashing" to be extreme. I personally have not had bad experiences with any police interactions I have had over the past 50 years. Without details, I was not an angel in police interactions in my younger days. In fact, one time I got the crap kicked out of me by a couple of officers and a pistol shoved in my face while handcuffed. I sure didn't like it but I did deserve it. The pistol wasn't necessary but it did reinforce their point. I will also point out that using racial slurs towards African American police officers in Detroit while drunk does not foster good outcomes.

My attitudes toward law enforcement significantly changed 30 years ago. Looking back, I never got a ticket I didn't deserve. In fact I have been given warnings far more often than I have tickets. Even when I should have been given a ticket.

If 7 people fired 40 rounds into an American vehicle on foreign soil, many here would call it an act of war and demand we turn the entire country into glass.

Looks like they hit most everything in the neighborhood. Cars, houses, trees, etc. I do not see how anyone can defend this.

As I age and encounter more and more government intanglement in my life and with those on the enforcement side I have become very cyncial.
It has got down to me praising the good and pointing out the bad. To group all togeather as good is being unfair to the good and just untruthful.

Names, addresses and ph#s of all officers involved in shooting should be posted if possible.

Wow. That is pretty low. I see you side with the tactics used by antis who want to publish such info on gun owners. :noway: -1 for supporting mob rule tactics.

There is a proper way to review what happened and deal out any discipline. This is not it.
