You know from days of old....

I asked another guard what he was doing after he talked to a young lady that had been checking door handles on several cars in the parking lot trying to get into them. She finally found a open one and started to get in as the other guard walked up and asked her if he could be of any assistance. She asked to use his knife to cut something under the dash and then started the vehicle. Aparently a blonde beautiful women could never be up to anything bad atleast in this guards mind...

and it gets worst from there...

I'm thinking sadclown should reopen the old gun shop in downtown Crown Point and call it "Blythes 3"

Psst.... It's got a range. And still for sale.

All we got is Freedom Firearms and Wally's inventory and prices suck.
what kind of insane price do they have on that building?

I used to build AR15s with the guy who owned that shop. The guy fell on some hard times, had several non-paying tenants that buried him under debt at a couple small rental properties and he was trying to use the gun shop to dig himself out of the debt. He couldn't pull it off and fell behind on payments to the bank, who eventually forclosed on the building. During that time his son was murdered and he finally gave up and moved to Arkansas, where his father lived.

He and I did some buisness dealings, he had a strong faith in God, was a very good man, just fell on a series of problems and couldn't hold it all together despite his best efforts.

Not sure what the price is on the building, I never looked into it. I'd bet is could be gotten pretty cheaply.

Today in the NWI TIMES their editorial page has a big editorial saying the commissioners should ban the gun shows on county property. All that will do is send more shows to private venues like The Patrician and other banquet hall properties with big parking lots! Long live private enterprise!!!

Was just about to post that Jay. Good for Scheub and Repay...never expected that out of those two. Was talking to my cousin who's the police commissioner of Huntley IL. He was telling me most the guns they recover are guns that were reported stolen during home invasions/robbery in IN. Its just a crock of **** that these IL ****-heads are coming over here to Indiana trying to pawn their problems off on us.

I thought Chuck was more interested in building 1911's, as he said both of his safe's were full of 1911 pistols he worked on.

Yup, Chuck and his wife were good friends of mine. I used to spend hours sitting on the stools in his shop. His daughter took forever to learn my name, knew me as "the Detonics guy" for a couple years because there were probably more Detonics transferred through CNI than any gun shop in modern times :)

In '08 and '09 Chuck was getting lowers, I had contacts at that time to buy uppers in bulk, when there was a run on AR15s then he always had them available because we must have built 100+ of them for his shop.

Chuck had some very valuable Colt 1911 pistols in his safe. He loved the platform and had an interesting collection. He was not a gunsmith but he could probably build a decent 1911 blindfolded.
