Have a Browning Buckmark Hunter with a built in scope mount that supposedly will take a weaver style scope on it. However after ordering a Redfield red dot--it would not fit. Then did an internet search and found out that the Browning built in base is not std weaver. Also reading , I find that both Tactical Solutions and Browning make a scope mount which replaces the one on my Buckmark. They make one with the rear sight on it and one with just the base. Want to mount a Burris Fastfire 1 or 2 on the pistol. My question is, if I buy one of these new base and replace the one on the pistol, will the new base fit the Burris red dot scope??Help appreciated---

I have a TacSol integral on my Buckmark, and it has fit anything I've tried on it

What's the problem with the factory base? Is the base itself too wide or are the slots too narrow?

If the slots are too narrow, it would be much easier to do some fine file work and open one or two up.

Oh, my TacSol base has a tendency to make the sight screws back out easily unless loctite is used
