Tonight is my wife's 20 year high school reunion. We're going, although I'm fairly indifferent to it. My 20 year reunion is in September and I'm NOT going. We didn't go to either mine nor her 10 year reunions.

With (or without) facebook, I don't really see the point.

I think the answer is "it depends". My class is still pretty close, there was only 77 of us. My Dad was in a class with 23 (small town 1954) and they will have 8-10 get together fairly often. I think there are 13 still living so that is really impressive.

I think that is the exception, not the rule.

We've only had 10 year reunions to date and I think I missed just the one. My brother, on the other hand hasn't gone to any of his. I had fun in high school. We had our clics (sp?) but they weren't so exclusive, we didn't interact -- we did. For the most part though, I've usually gotten out of my system after a couple of hours and am good for another 10 years. After my last one, they were talking about doing them every 5 years. I doubt I go that often.

I went to my 20th right after I got divorced. It was a memorable night. Don't anticipate going to any others.

It reminded me of the movie "The Hangover", it was quite the party.

Never been to one. Could barely stomach them in school, why see them again. I see them on occasion on the street. Everybody has gotten fatter and uglier.

I didnt go to my 20th. I realized it was organized and attended by pretty much everyone I didnt get along with. (I wasnt part of the "in" crowd) I realized I could pay big money to go eat and drink with people I really dont care about, or call the few good freinds from that era and have MUCH more fun for much less money. To be clear I dont hate them. Quite the contrary; I just have no attachment to them. The hatchet was buried our senior year and it was better then, but still. And besides, I hung out with other classes the entire 4 years. My early years I hung out with some of the upper classmen, and when I was about to rotate out I was hanging out with underclassmen. So a by the year reunion would encompass all of about 6-10 of my actual friends.

Everyone I care to talk to I'm friends with now on FB. No need for a reunion.

I have never gone to one. I still see the ones I was friends with, all 5 of them. These where the ones that stuck with you through it all. And there was a lot of "all".

I didn't want to see them while I was in high school. Haven't seen any of them since I graduated high school. Have no desire to see anyone at all. I'll never go to one.

    I hated high school.

I went to my 10th and 20th, was out of town for the 30th. I'll go to the 40th if I'm not traveling, we've been doing more of that with each passing year. I like to see people I haven't seen in years, never had any serious issues with anyone from my school days, and I probably wouldn't remember still if I had.

Went to my 10th. Wasn't too bad but we had more fun after the reunion when most of us met up at the local bar. I went to my wife's 20 a couple of yrs ago. That wasn't so much fun b/c I didn't know anyone there. My 20 is coming up so we will see. I might go just so the wife has to sit around a bunch of people she doesn't know!!

It's been a long time ago now, but my wife went to her reunion one year and I begged out. It didn't dawn on me that I would know as many people there as she did. I'm a few years younger than her and went to a high school 350 miles away from her's. But I forgot that I work with a bunch of her classmates and when she got home, even she was surprised so many people asked about me.

Never been to one and it's been 30+ years. Only one guy that I kept in semi-contact with and he died in a motorcycle accident 5 or 6 years ago...

    I hated high school.

High School was a blur. I was way to busy to be in the "Crowd"
I had some good friends and still have the same ones now.
Well, the ones that are on this side of dirt anyway.

Thought about going to the 20th but it was a brief thought.
Knew the 1st "X" was going so that ended that.

I passed on all of mine. I figured the people that I wanted to stay in contact with I have. Half of it is all BS trying to keep up some expectation of how people think you turned out...
