Just got called from the number "0". I'm on the no call list, and block numbers, but I'm getting between 3-4 on my cellphone each day anymore. There has been a noticeable increase in the last 2-3 months. They also started spoofing the local area code (I use my cellphone for business). I'd wish they'ed castrate these ****s.

Yeah...Recently, they've been telling me in their messages, not to ignore the messages they're leaving and if I do, the consequences will be...something. I'm usually busy laughing at them by then. But yeah, I think the death penalty is in order for these pukes.

Im getting more and more of them also.

If I'm not to busy I'll answer them.
Had one last week that wanted me to look at a website they made for my business. She started giving me the address and
I asked her to spell it. I them spelled it wrong and different 4-5 times. She finally asked if I was messing with her, I asked here why I would mess with someone wasting my time? She hung up.

Are you listed on Angie's list? They or a customer sold, traded, loaned, rented or what ever they want to call it, their list. My personal cell phone number was listed on there and my son started getting calls for the business. I had already told them to take it off but they never did. I called and made it very clear that number wasn't listed for my business anyplace but with them. They took the number off and my son stopped getting the calls.

I had a call from a nice young man the other day, he was concerned that my computer was spreading malware on the Internet.
He even offered to remote into my machine and fix it for me.

The conversation took an ugly turn when I described to him, in great detail, how much I enjoyed spending time with his mother...

I've gotten several from some home security company, even after asking to be put on their do not call list. The strange thing is that they're always from different numbers. From what I've been told, they can get by with this because do not call lists are for specific numbers and not companies. (I have no verification on this, but it does make sense). I just keep telling them I have a GSD and a 12 gauge. They usually hang up...

I've also been told twice that I'm being sued by the IRS. Anyone else getting that one??

My parents got one of these on their landline last-week, threatening them through litigation if they ignored the call. Utterly shameless.

I took it serious the first time. I called them back and asked them to give me a bunch of personal info. They knew my name, address, and phone number, but that was it. When asked for further information, they hung up. I called the actual IRS and they said I was good.

A couple weeks ago, I invited one caller to eat a certain part of my anatomy, then hung up. She actually called back to tell me I would have to grow one first. I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time.

I've never had anyone say anything back to me. They just hang up. I wonder if it's because of something I say...

    Right here.
I've been getting a bunch out of the 502 (local Louisville) area. The calls came around noon and 4 - 5 in the afternoon every day. The calls rotate around three nearly identical numbers. The only difference is the last number and it rotates between the numbers 1, 2, and 3. I only have a cell phone and it runs the latest Android OS. It has a blocking feature that works very well. Once I discovered how to use it I've not been bothered again. It doesn't even ring through.

If I get any others I go full on Tom Mabe with them..."how is it that you new the deceased?"

I've been getting four or five of them a day for the last few months. Very few people have my number, so I know it's a BS call most of the time. Unfortunately I work midnights and I am always on call, so I have to get up to at least make sure it isn't work every time it rings.

What is this feature called?? I'd love to start using it, if it actually works.

Go into your recent phone call list, select the number of the person you want to block, then touch "more" in the upper right corner. One of your options is to block the number. Works like a charm! There also used to be an option to report the number, which I used every time. I see that feature has been removed.

Read an article that the FCC I believe is working with the major carriers on a solution for number spoofers, robocallers etc. I believe they are supposed to make a presentation sometime in October on a possible solution. With a little luck it'll include ball peen castration as suggested up thread!

Rather than the Silent feature on your phone use the Do Not Disturb setting. Can be programmed to allow family and work calls to ring through but not ring for the spammers while you are sleeping.

Here's the Apple version, I am sure other platforms have a similar feature.

Seems like we are getting more lately. In the past couple weeks we have been offered a free security system, two cruises, a business loan, and a call from the "IRS". We are on the federal and IN no call list but it doesn't seem to matter.

Wish some pol would make a big deal of this and legislate some serious penalties. Just imagine, how much time is wasted daily, across the country, responding to this trash.
