Air Force, Navy and Marines can all wear the Parachutist Badge upon completion of Army Airborne training.

EDIT: He is wearing a Senior Parachutist Badge, which, unless I am wrong requires a couple of mass tactical full equipment and full equipment night jumps. Which the Air Force does not conduct. It could be done in one tour in an Army Airborne unit.

Not saying it isn't possible. I served with former Marines, Navy and Air Force personal while in the Army. That Master Sargent just seems to have a whole lot of "diversified" specialized training and awards for someone of his apparent age. Could be possible, but........

Not meaning to say that the kid's achievements are possible, Sir. I am as dubious as you about that. I cannot call him MSG it is obviously stolen valor.

Someone that has more knowledge of AF awards could most likely debunk the placement and ability to earn them.

But then again it is just a funny picture.

What's sad is I believe that walking around as "Stolen Valor" is still legal as long as you don't get free stuff for your efforts.
But being found in an alley all beat up is still a thing...... thank God. :yesway:

Some internet sleuths dug up the info on this soup sandwich. He really was a veteran, a loadmaster on a 130. Airman 1st class. He was also a druggie. (fried brain) Note that I said "was". Him dead now. I'm sure his mom is sad, but probably not many others... Not me.

If you weren't in (not you, but people in general), don't try to take credit for being in.
If you were in, take credit for what you did. There is no need to take credit for what you did not.

I was always told the difference between fairy tales and war stories is that fairy tales start out "once upon a time..." and war stories start out "This ain't no B.S..."

There is no similarity between veterans discussing shared experiences and posers bragging to strangers.

This is good advice. Everyone who served did their part. That said, stolen valor is a real thing. One of the most arrogant veterans I have ever met is my wife's cousin. He did indeed serve as a cook in a mechanized infantry division. He insists that he was infantry and saw more action than anyone else. As a former straight leg infantryman I find this somewhat offensive but just let him blather on.
