Over in the Beer Virus thread, I was relaying some Indiana numbers that show that the current surge is on the way out. I'll leave it to others to predict the future, but logic would seem to dictate that with more antibodies from all sources, stray mutations would find less friendly ground for developing.

USA Today just ran a headline that said herd immunity is now estimated to require 90%, and scientists are mostly in agreement that we will never get to that number.

And we were repeatedly told at the outset that 70% was the herd immunity number by many sources. Why the change? Why can NOTHING be as it was before?

WOW!! So I'm just a common man relying on my wits and common sense to make sense of it all.

Maybe the medical community is seeing what I have been seeing all along...

"Trust in the CDC and FDA has decreased dramatically during the COVID-19 pandemic among health care professionals," WebMD/Medscape noted in June. "Out of nearly 2,000 U.S. nurses surveyed on Medscape (WebMD's sister site for health care professionals) between May 25 and June 3, 77% said their trust in the CDC has decreased since the start of the pandemic, and 51% said their trust in the FDA has decreased. Similarly, out of nearly 450 U.S. doctors surveyed in the same time period, 77% said their trust in the CDC has decreased and 48% said their trust in the FDA has decreased."

    From the Reason article above...

By the way, the means of overcoming this coercion is to leave your cell phone at home turned off, demonstrating that you have rejected the paradigm pen that the elites have herded humanity into. But can you? How much do you love your slavery?
Faraday bag. You have the phone if you need it but it can't share anything w/o permission

I use my phone, but I'm not enslaved by it. I mostly use it for calls and looking something up, occasionally for maps. Don't use social media, or any banking apps on it. I also don't let it be something I'm chained to. I'll leave it sitting somewhere at home for hours at a time without caring about it or missing it.
Same here. its's funny when I have to explain that to people who just expect that you always have your phone and will always answer it. I tell them to text me, they have a better chance of getting an answer because I'm retired and I slipped my chains

But I want the ability to call in the event of an emergency and I want that camera in case of an accident or an incident

My phone, is a phone. Doesn't take pictures or text and it isn't smart. I'll gladly talk to people if they want to call and answer questions, but today so many people seem embarrassed to do anything except text. Not something I understand.
Text is the least intrusive option. I can feel the haptic and glance at it for urgency triage. A phone call has to be dealt with whether convenient or not, they almost always go to vmail, and vmail has to played back analog and is just a call with the PIA part time-shifted

Not embarrassment on my part, just attitude. Not that many people I really want to talk to

“When somebody is naturally immune — like they got COVID — they probably have more antibodies against the virus…When you actually get the virus, you’re going to start producing antibodies against multiple pieces of the virus…So, your antibodies are probably better at that point than the [COVID] vaccination,” Nick Karl said.

I have often stated: "my phone is so I can communicate with you, not so you can communicate with me."

Anyhoo- I use my phone for about 10% phone calls, 5% texting, 3% e-mails, 2% Googling in Menards or Home Depot and 80% listening to audiobooks while I drive.

I'm not sure what to be afraid of: COVID, the vaccine, the government, the doctors, the other doctors, the news, the other news... all I know is that someone is telling me to be afraid of something.

Meh. I'm going to keep on livin' life (heopefully).
The government, definitely the government. It is orders of magnitude more able to affect your life for the worse than anything else on your list

I hate that they automatically assume no one has survived from Covid and must be vaccinated. They still ignore the millions of people that have already developed natural immunity. I know I know it doesn’t make anyone money.

So you are not expecting a potential client with a multimillion dollar case to call? Some people are.

In general here there are very few that seem to understand that millions of small businesses rely on cell phones to literally run their businesses and many employees must also live by the phone, though I hate it as much as most of you...

Horse dewormer, eh? Oh, you mean that drug that won a Nobel prize for its use in humans? Or the one that some countries that aren’t full of rabid politicians actually used successfully to treat Covid?

But I doubt you want facts, because it’ll hurt your ego to know you’ve been looking down your nose at a bunch of people for not being vaccinated only to discover their choice of treatment works better than yours.

I’d say get off your high horse, but that horse died long ago, now you’re just beating that poor dead horse.

Preliminary laboratory data indicate that the Mu variant possesses genetic changes or “mutations” that could make it more resistant to immunity from vaccines and previous infections. However, additional studies need to confirm these findings.
