Low cost IDPA targets for purchase?

I would like to buy a 100-200 IDPA targets but the cost I am seeing is nearly $1.00/target. Is that normal?

Has anyone seen them on the cheap?

Went and checked a few other places and that's the going rate apparently. Shipping weight on 100 targets was 36#, with Shipping anywhere from $21-$24.

Might be worth making them if you've got access to cardboard

Exactly...Amazon is where I started but other vendors are killing us on the shipping as you all have pointed out.
Absolutely ridiculous prices for fricken' cardboard that is stamped out by a machine...smh.

For what it's worth, charging 34 dollars to ship a 36 lb item, they are not making money. If I ship a 9x5x7 box that wieghts 1 pound out west my cost is 25.

Over the last 2 years, my shipping cost for like packages is near doubled

Lets not forget that when the tonnage requirements are hit, shipping costs drop for the month.

I ship myself with a ups and usps commercial account.
9x5x7 will easily fit in a medium USPS flat rate box,
Thats the cost for all 50 and most territory's, APO's & AE addresses.

Don't want to thread-jack, but what do you call the plastic target holders that are same size/shape?
Where can I buy them?
Hard to search something when you don't know what it's called.

I buy paper targets. not as durable but they can be put on a cheap/free locally sourced backer.
And you can add any amount of various other targets you shoot to bring down the per target shipping cost. I typically buy around 10 years of targets at a time since they store so small all rolled up in the box/tube.

Seriously, this. Most of those targets are completely viable and they are being pitched.
It's how I have done it for years. Snag 'em during tear down.

CHL has free shipping so really you’re saving $10-$20 and paying roughly 80¢-90¢ a target. Just buy brown pasties and reuse the targets. 10/10 makes the experience better
