Solar generators - DIY or manufactured?

FYI Past thread on this topic - https://www.indianagunowners.com/threads/solar-generator-for-freezer-question.519008/ Rolling your own is certainly doable and you'll learn things doing it. Buying will get you something quicker and generally smaller/more compact, although when the battery is...

      Shipping Handgun Owner legality

Posting here cause I’m not sure which sub for this goes into. Mods can move if needed. So, hypothetically, if a friend (from out of state) visited and forgot his handgun, could one mail it back to him out of state? In principal seems like that should be OK. Oth

      Gallop poll- worst in history

As if he’s really doing the job… He’s essentially a teleprompter-reading sock puppet. PINO - President in name only.

      Walking?

20 to 25 miles was considered a "day's journey" for thousands of years.

Should I call the DNR ?

Depends how strongly you feel about it. I wouldn't waste my time. I'm not involving myself with .gov in any capacity unless absolutely necessary. This is way, WAY down on my list of things to be concerned about.

Is "none of the above" an option?

If you leave it blank, it’s kind of a blank check for abuse downstream, isn’t it? In other words, if it’s blank, it seems like it’d be easier for someone to fraudulently fill something in later.

The end of affordable table saws? Probably, if Congress/CPSC gets their way.

My folks just taught us - BE CAREFUL. Solves lots of "problems" - cheaply. It's something I keep hammering in to my family. Hopefully they get it eventually. Carelessness is expensive, personally, and when you have a nanny state, collectively.

Holster material least likely to cause wear

I think this is often the case. And, it seems such abrasive material is more easily embedded into the surface of leather than it is a Kydex or thermal plastic holster. So, since the thermal plastic/Kydex holsters are more resistant to the embedment of abrasive material, and are easier to clean...

Why Was Hip Shooting Ever a Thing?

Yeah, kind of weird especially since he includes pics of them in his video. Only so much you say in an 11 min video I suppose. I'd never really thought of tracing it to Jelly Bryce. Makes some sense, but Jelly didn't invent hip shooting. All one has to do is read biographies from the late...

Holcomb declare emergency ahead of eclipse

I recall any crazy stuff in 2017. Went fine. I'm expecting a big nothing burger (other than the cool eclipse, of course if the weather cooperates).

      Total Solar Eclipse 4/8/24

The eclipse in 2017 was amazing. Hoping the weather holds for this one. Last time my focus was on just the sun, however, given 4 min of totality, there are a few other interesting sights to take in as well. See article below...
