I’ve been around just shy of 68 years. I was born and raised in Floyd County Indiana and still live there. I grew up on a farm and spent much time in the tobacco patch or hay field with my best friend, I called him Dad. We worked hard thru the week so we could spend Saturday hunting or...
I recently picked up a Cabela's Alpha Series scope 3-12 X 40M. I'm thinking of trying it on a Ruger 77/22. Can any one suggest what rings I would need to mount this scope. Thanks.
I called the Jeffersonville store several times last week to see if they had any in stock, no luck. Sunday Morning was my birthday and I saw by the Dick's add that they had 22's listed. Went up early and was able to get a box (525) of 22's. Went to RK and they had the SR22 in stock and brought...
Hookeye, I am new to scoped handguns. I have a 2X Leupold on a 14 inch 30-30 Win for this Contender. The Leupold came with the gun when I bought it. I plan to leave the Luepold on the 30 -30 and see if I can get good enough to do a little deer hunting with it. It really surprised me when I...
I have a Thompson Contender with a 10 inch 22 barrel. I'm thinking of mounting a scope for target shooting at the range and maybe carrying it out squirrel hunting some. I'd like to stay under $100 if I could. Any one have any suggestions? Thanks Emmo
Received my new "Last Chance" belt this week and have been wearing it the last few days. It's not as heavy as I had hoped, but for $25 I really like the belt. So far I've only carried my LCP with it, but over the weekend will try it with a CM9.
Just wondering if anyone has tried the Cabela's Last Chance Heavy Duty Belt and how it is for CC. I was at the Louisville store yesterday and was going to look at the 5.11 Tactical Trainer. They didn't have my size. Today I went on line to place an order and I spotted the Cabela's Last Chance...
Esrice, good luck with your new hobby. I had pretty much your same thoughts a few years back. I bought a bike in Aug of2011 and after nearly 50 years off a bicycle, I found that getting back on wasn’t as easy as I had planned. Things got better after a few weeks. I’m coming up on my 3 year...
Thanks tradertator. It was my first attempt at a holster and I was pretty well pleased. I could have taken a little more time and made it look better, but I got in a hurry to finish. I'm sure I'll make a few more and I'll do a better job on them. I've carried it a few times and it does the job.
I haven't carried yet when cycling, but I have a small pouch made for under the seat that's mounted to the top tube and head set. I use it to carry my keys and cell phone when I carry it along. It's large enough to also hold my LCP. If I were to carry my LCP along on a ride that's the method...
Picked up an LCP at RK last weekend and decided to try my hand at making a holster. Turned out ok, think I'll make one for my S&W 36. Sure can find a lot of information on DIY on the internet.
