      Personal combat medical kit help?

Agreed. The QuickClot Powder I was issued for OIF was not ideal. I was skeptical of the QuickClot bandages, but have been pleasently surprised how well they work. Plus no nasty debridment afterwards.

      Personal combat medical kit help?

Okay Sport69, here is what I'd go with. 2 Israeli bandages ($10 on Amazon) 40 individually wrapped 4x4 bandages (Likely free from your local EMS or FD) 2 Rolls of Kerlex (1 small roll & 1 big roll also likely free from EMS/FD) 1 CAT Tourniquet (or similar modern/easy to use tourniquet that you...

      Personal combat medical kit help?

I would get with your local fire department or EMS peoples and ask them what they think you should be carrying. If you are using this as a bag for your patrol car the reality is that you'll more than likely be using this bag more for CPR and minor First Aid and not traumatic, tourniquet...

US leaves Iraq - now the crap begins

No doubt. The Kurds are the only ones that seem to have their sh*t together.

US leaves Iraq - now the crap begins

Wow. What a marvelous distraction that thing ended up being... Glad me and my friends got to go do that for a year.

      WTS: AR-15 w/ about 210 rounds

Caleb, I just tried to PM you. It says you need to delete some of them before you can get mine.

      States that honor Indiana's LTCH

Yeah, figured that out. Four years of having that thing and never knew I could openly carry. *runs to go get his FOBUS holster out of his foot locker*

do you carry something in your trunk?

I was told, after the fact, that since I told him there was a weapon in the car he was legally allowed to search it. His entire issue was that I was from out of town. Henry County has a pretty big drug problem, so I was told that when people from my area are over there are "usually buying drugs."

      Post a fact about yourself

I was ten feet away from an armored Tahoe carrying Saddam Hussein but didn't know it until 3 months after the fact.

      xd

I love my XD.40 I'm tough on my toys and have put lots (idk how many really) of rounds thru it. Never once has it malfunctioned, in 4 years. All of my buddies carry them (with one owning 4 diff models!) and many of the Marines in my unit bought them upon returning home from Iraq. Great gun...

      What was your first Handgun?

Beretta 92F. I hated that gun with a passion.

      Private sales.. anyone else notice...

I got my XD.40 for just a little under $400 4 years ago, when I got home from Iraq. When I was in a pinch about a year ago I took it back to the same dealer that I bought it from and he offered me a little over $400?!?!

do you carry something in your trunk?

I do carry something in my trunk, a Ka-Bar fighting knife. I didn't even know it was back there until I was recently pulled over in New Castle for "being from Madison County." and had my vehicle searched. Thats the last time I announce to a LEO that I have a handgun in my car. His face...

      Hello from Pendleton

New to the forum, got sent here by a pal who told me about the classifieds and a "good group of guys." I've worked in public safety (fire/ems) and the military for the past 8 years. Out of the Marines now and looking for toys to keep me from rejoining. I currently only own a Springfield XD .40...

      My Conseco Fieldhouse experience.

When we were on our way back from Iraq we stopped in Germany. The plane was civilian airline but a bunch of Marines were the only ones on the plane. They let us into the main part of the airport to use the internet and phones and get something to eat. As we came back to board the plane they made...
