Are the black US grips not required any longer? At one time there was a requirement for a minimum number of US made parts, but Ive not kept up on this. Seems like the follower in the mag, maybe, was one US part?
Get a Savage or a Marlin. You will have to spend more money on upgrades to get a Ruger to shoot as well as a Savage or Marlin right out of the box. The old Mossbergs are ok, but the triggers are not.
"Santa was all suited up and selling ammo like hotcakes."
Santa was there, but with overpriced ammo. I didn't see anything there I couldn't find elsewhere for much less.
Seems like half the show was crafts / garage sale items.
"Much better than the rifle Remington is putting out in that price range"...based on what?
The Remington 783 is made using much of Marlin's previous designs. It also has an adjustable trigger, is pillar bedded, free floated, has a thicker barrel profile, and has many reviews showing its...
I'm looking for recommendations on scope rings. The rifle is a Remington bolt action .308, it came with a scope/rings/bases but I'm looking to upgrade. I have Warne steel bases, a Vortex 4-12x40 scope, but am not sure what rings to use. I have a new set of Weaver Quad locks, but wondering if...
Boyds has laminate stocks for the XT 22 tube fed rifles. I believe you have to also get a trigger guard and a couple of screws from either Marlin or Numrich/Midway/Brownells etc. May be able to call an order a hardwood version as well?
No names on anything that I can see. The base has what looks like a circle with either a letter or a number in it (but I cant make it out) its on the side just below the front ring. Might be a K, could be an R, or could be a 2 digit number "1" something.
Anyone know which mount and rings are in the pic? Looking to upgrade the scope and wanting to know if the hardware already on here is sufficient. Thinking about a Nikon scope.
