Feedback on our first Local IDPA Match in Atlanta

Thanks for your kind words. I really want to compliment your son on how well he handled himself despite having repeated problems with his gun. In general, I don't think safety issues happen when everything goes right, it is usually when things go wrong. I think his gun failed to go into battery...

First Time IDPA Shooter, and Suggestions?

I usually run a squad at Atlanta. Look me up (Larry Piekarski) and you can shoot with me if you want. IDPA has a lot of rules, including some quirky ones regarding reloads, cover, and movement. At the club matches, and especially with new shooters, it is not our goal to see how many procedurals...

Questions about IDPA at Atlanta CC

We shot in the snow last December, and all the participants had a good time. IDPA is part game/part practice for self defense. If crime never occurred when it is snowing or raining or really hot or really cold, then IDPA matches would only happen on nice days.

      Steel at ACC Saturday 7/17

John, Most of the strings are 5 shots, so with an M&P 9 (with a 17-round mag), 3 mags are plenty as you can comfortably shoot 2 strings from a single mag.

      2nd Amendment March in 2010

Is there any kind of a carpool/bus leaving from Kokomo/Indy and going to Washington for the 19th March? I would like to go, but not by myself. OFCC does have a bus leaving from Dayton, but it gets back at 1:30AM and then another 3 hours for me back to Kokomo.
