Let's put some perspective on this. Colt has so little share of civilian market ar15s why put the effort into it. In a day where Colt has long lost its luster for superior products it's not surprising that they are doing what they have announced.
1. Think about the cost of ar15s lately. Can...
Yeah regretting it now. Got a free float rail and nut new in trade. Thought I could get that down to moa. Now it's 6 moa...and eratic. Got a loaner scope I'm going to try this week to rule that out.
Ok - i seem to be able to fix everyone elses issues but my own.
I have been shooting a factory Anderson AM15. with my handloads its mostly a 1.5 moa rifle - standard anderson carbine 16" barrel, and consistently groups at that. its 1.5 all day...every day...with everything.
This weekend i took...
Short stroking always comes down to 1 of 2 things. 1. Gas leak 2. Excessive resistance/binding. 1 is easy. make sure gas blocks are not blowing gas out from under or from the gas tube hole in the block. ive seen gas blocks drilled out of spec and they leaked gas around the gas tube itself. as...
Of the rounds i put down range in an M4 - i never touched mine. SLAP procedure and misfire procedures have changed a bit over the years - some units train a bit different. For our boarding officer/LEDET training - we didnt pop the FA, we pulled the cahrging handle and moved on wqith the thought...
dont remember the exact powders any more - was what alexander arms recommended. I sold the rifle and all the reloading equipment for it with the reload data as well. i moved on to the 25-45.
FAL is all nice and good, But really - a PTR91 with sharp shooter stock, and good glass is as good as the rest. Softer recoiling and cheap as can be magazines, most of which are marked HK. I carreid a G3 in Columbia and loved it...weight be darned. Ive had several iterations of it in the cvilian...
I found it to be more unpredictable than my reloading manuals stated. I had little luck with it. components were abit cost prohibitive of experimenting to my liking. I like my 25-45 sharps as brass is as easy as pickinig up 223/556 and experimenting. found a couple great loads right off the bat...
Ok - Ive got a nice bonus coming in and have decided that santa didnt fill my stocking enough so ill have to do it myself this year. I have been eyeing 2 rifles and right now have found a sale on both for roughly half the normal cost...so they are a few hundred bucks apart. Im looking for First...
LEt me post this as i have been playing with a grendel for a bit now - some have said similar things previously but here is my first hand experience - COST. Simply put of all the alternative calibres offered in AR platforms this has to be one of the costliest to make right. Ammo isnt cheap -...
Hey folks, my son has become a real tank man. He has become a bit of a fanatic. We happened by an M4 Sherman the other day at a legion in Attica Indiana. Kid went nuts. My question is - does any one know of or can a legionnaire sound off on what legions or VFW's might have big equipment on...
