      Thanks a lot for the feedback and links. Sorry if my questions are obvious , there is decent learning curve for beginners like me. i will get a gage to check my measurement , i know i understand why a caliper could show variance in measurement.

      Thanks guys , very very helpful. My first reaction was to order a better caliper. I also need to check how i setup the die , i think i made a mistake and turn the die by 1/8 turn up instead of down. I will check back after more trials and measurement :)
