Here's my two cents. Most people on this site won't like it.
Most of the self defense comments I see on this site dont recommend .22 caliber handguns as "adequate" in "stopping power".
Chances are extremely remote that you will ever have to use your weapon the rest of your life.
Do you really...
The Smith 5906 is one of the best semiauto pistols they ever made. I have handled and shot one. Excellent gun and you can get used ones for very good prices.
I just ordered a Repro PU Sniper from SOG for $359 plus shipping. I wouldnt pay $900 for a "real" PU unless you have money to burn or want it as a collector piece.
I bought mine to shoot. Cheaper than trying to make one out of a standard 91/30.
I will let you know if its any good once I get it...
Had a HiPoint .45. Actually a great gun. Never failed and very accurate. I dont know where you work, but where I live armed always pays more than unarmed. But both suck, however. Plus I dont go anywhere unless I am armed.
All co-workers carry Glocks. I am not a Glock fan, althought I know they are excellent weapons. Dont fit my hand properly. The Beretta or Taurus 92's are also excellent guns. Had one for a while. Grip too big for my hands.
I will stick with my revolver. I am very good with it and it has...
I did own a CZ P-07 Duty at one time. I really wish I still had it. It felt perfect in my hand, was high capacity and extremely accurate and never had one failure. If I did carry a semi, it would be another P-07 or a 75B.
I still prefer revolvers. I had many people ask if my revolver was a...
alrighty then. i will relax, not be too tactical, go buy a new gun, change my mindset and not make any stupid mistakes when confronting bad guys with or without a firearm. All while carrying my 7 shot, .357 revolver with 2 speedloaders all loaded with .38 +p ammo.
Really, thanks for the...
This isnt my first armed gig. I am well trained with both calibers. Nobody will ever take a gun away from me. As a security officer I have no more rights than joe blow on the street. I can only use it in self defense or defense of someone else in mortal danger. I know all the rules.
I was...
I had a Stoeger Condor O/U. I shot trap with it and it was fine in my opinion. Plus it was inexpensive. I had never shot trap before and first time out I was hitting 18 and 19 clays out of 25 per round, with no practice. I am no expert at trap, but it shot very well in my opinion. O/U is...
The Florida leftys and socialists just defeated the new bill to allow open carry in Florida. So I still dont have a choice on how I want to carry. Only one way here, concealed.
