Good luck with the Shield
Best of luck with the Shield. I like S&W pistols, and my M&P Compact 9 & 40 (original models), but did not care for the Shield 40. Just didn't feel as comfortable in the hand as the Sig P938, or Kimber Micro 9 do. The extended mag sleeve on the Shield used to move...
And if it didn't cost an arm and a leg to do so! Where I live, we can own those, but $200 for the tax stamp and about $700-$1000 for the suppressor . . . ridiculous. That's like twice the price of many decent firearms. Plus there is about 3-9 months wait time for approval, last I read.
What a perfect week for this discussion. A time when we Honor those who have paid the Ultimate Price (some by choice, some not) to protect the Freedoms that we cherish in the USA.
The encroachment of Civilization (?) upon country life is a continual issue all across the USA. As many have...
Very tempting to make a purchase at Grab-A-Gun; that is the best price around for this new (rebranded/modified/improved) compact 1911. Much nicer heel rounding than the Dan Wesson; it's like the Kimber round heel. The CZ 97 is. nice firearm, but it is large. I would need much larger hands to...
I like Hatch brand when I choose to use gloves, they have a variety of different types, that provide different levels of thickness and grip. The ones I use are not padded, but the layer still makes for a decent amount of reduction in recoil. Of course, Hogue or Pachmayr recoil reducing grips or...
Is there any wonder why they call themselves SIG now, rather than Sig Sauer (SOUR)? I was soured on them to a degree after my first purchase. Then I decided to give them another shot on a newer CC sized model, even more issues. I wasn't soured enough though, I gave them another shot on the most...
Best price I ever saw was 25¢ for 50, but that was in 1967 or so, in Northern Wisconsin (I was 10). My brother has a brick (500) he paid like $6.49 for in 1984, still shoots fine; not one failure. The lowest I ever paid for a brick of 525, was about $15.00. That was when Cabela's was selling...
My first handgun was an M&P 9 Full Size, 2nd was a compact 45 (1911). Everyone said 40's were way snappy don't waste your time on them; this was in 2007. I wanted a compact so I bought a M&P 9 Compact. Still, I the size of these firearms were a bit too large for my body type to conceal...
Hmmm, I too have/had both of these pocket 9's as well as a Sig P290RS. The only one left standing is the Kimber Micro 9 . . . it is the only one that proved reliable so far. The P290RS was a problem child from day one. Couldn't even load the magazine completely, even using a Uplula (it was a...
