Several years ago in a "Meijer" I could not find something that I could usualy find. When I asked an employee I was told the store moves things every so often . That way you will likely buy something you see while looking for what you came in for. Jim.
Corporations payy big bucks to have engineers design Plan O Grams.

They take into account amounts of purchases of every item. They then move the most popular items to make them harder to find (people will still seek and buy them). They place less selling products more prominently so you will impulse buy.

I only did one when I worked retail. It was a real pain.

Every item in the store moves. Every shelf is laid out exactly in the book.

Also a lot of grocery shelf space is leased to the vendors also…

    Near the big river.
Actually, good prediction. She seems to make the best of about any situation and is a rare combination of determination, ability and individualism.
My father was like that. I always admired his ability to be satisfied and happy while pursuing his abilities. He truly loved people but did not put up with laziness. He was a master machinist and incredible woodworker. Always fun to talk to him.

I am wound a little tighter and worry too much. At 69 years old I still do. He was an inspiration.
