Off Grid / Emergency Lighting Ideas?

Honestly I have a ton of large candles on hand. They don't put out much light, but it's plenty once your eyes get used to it. One of them will burn for over 130 hours, they last forever, and they're cheap and totally folproof.

      Pics of my M&Pness...

yes, very nice indeed. I love the black and white pics.

      Tula .40 Ammo

I've shot about 500 rounds of 9MM through my glock 26, with no problems. IMO it's good cheap practice ammo.

      .177 pellet gun advise?

I tent to stay with heavier pellets because IMO they are much more accurate. Even with cheap lead pellets I can still nail a squirrel at 35 yards from my office window.

      Military Brass??

I just did 5000 .223 cases. The worst part is definitely swaging the cases. I'm thinking of buying a Dillon Super Swager, but just can't bear to spend 120$ on a little plastic tool...

      cleaning stainless steel

I know it sounds odd, but the Mr. clean magic eraser (easily found at Wal Mart) works wonders and won't scratch your revolver. It's pretty useful around the house as well.

      Bathroom gun?

Honestly any old pump action 12 ga would do. Saw off the barrel to 18.5 inches, and load her up with buck shot. A 12 ga shotgun usually doesn't care about moisture, and modern shot shells are sealed. The sound of the pump action will probably scare most bad guys away anyways before you have...

      Washing Handguns

Put my Glock 26 though the washing machine once. Still works like new. I threw out the ammo though. Wish I hadn't now just to see if it would still shoot.

      Am I Crazy?

After years of reloading probably at least 100,000 rounds, I STILL use my Lee single stage press... I use a powder scale though...

Carving a Pumpkin with a Glock

Yup, this just confirms that Hickock45 is my favorite internet firearms personality. If you haven't seen his videos you need to check them out on Youtube! Somehow I don't think my wife would let me do the same...

How many of you keep KI on hand?

Ok, let me shed some light on this subject. The way KI works is that it floods your thyroid gland with Iodine (I) so that your thyroid does not take up any radioactive iodine from nuclear fallout. If your thyroid does take up radioactive Iodine, the radioactivity will be concentrated in your...

      Mosin questions

I got mine for 70 bucks at an auction. No matching numbers, but it shoots like a dream (after I cleaned all of the cosmoline out of the chamber). If you buy one, and the bolt gets sticky, be sure to see all of the Youtube videos about removing cosmoline out of the chamber.

      Considering a .308 bolt gun

I'd go for a .308. Carolos hathcock didn't have any trouble with it... And it's nice to be able to buy rounds at wal mart if you really need to.

      Walnut Media Question

I also use the walnut bedding from pets mart, with a cap full of turtle wax. works great for me in vibratory and rotary tumblers. Only thing is that the media is the perfect size to get stuck in the flash holes of the primer pickets. Kind of a pain in the ass if you're preparing tons of cases...

What's your favorite .44 mag hunting ammo?

I also use hornady XTP 240 grain bullets over a maximum charge of W296 powder as well. I load it on Norma brass that I found for a great price on gunbroker years ago with CCI primers. This load is nothing fancy but will deliver great and consistent results every season.

      Wolf Pistol Ammo

I agree about wold being dirty. But I clean my pistols thoroughly after every session at the range, so it's no issue. I guess if you were firing a thousand rounds in a session though...

      Anyone Into Mosins ?

Mossins I also have two of them. Got one of them at an auction for only $70.00 (with bayonet and all accessories). I love having a high quality rifle that I can get dirt cheap ammo for. Imagine shooting a 30-06 class round for 20 cents. The primers of the surplus ammo are corrosive, but...
