What a bunch of really great sounding names on the NGO name list. Too bad in actuality, they all are in the business of destroying the Constitutional Republic and it's law abiding Citizens.
I don't have my CD savings in one, like between 12 and 24 of them, laddering each time one comes due. Last year was pretty good and I bought 9 month, 12, month 15 month, trying to have them come due once a month. Since the first of the year, both banks and the credit union has shortened to...
I am just thinking out loud here, having not looked into it in years. With a hand held 2 meter radio, isn't it really dependent on repeaters? What kind of distance would that be without clicking into a repeater? I never worked anything higher than 20 meters and that was through a full wave...
the dollars they give Congress must be bigger than the ones I earn. They mostly enter the job with humble assets, and end up living lavish lifestyles and owning several multi-million dollar homes. The dollars I make will not buy very much.
We forget that $174K is beer money, because...
I don't like to shoot anything that reshapes the brass unless I am fire forming .357 Herrett brass. Guess he was used to shooting a gen 1 Glock, <grin>
I had a Makarov that had a different barrel pressed in that was properly chambered for .380. For a commie block entry, it was a really good handling and shooting little pistol.
I seem to remember about 15 years ago, Dillon reloading was making a big push for 9 X 23. I am pretty sure they were promoting a way to make major power factor for gun games. I think they were having brass made in the USA.
Starline shows the brass on their website
Shiloh Sharps. I had a Navy Arms replica for a little while, and seldom shot it. In reality a "real" Sharps would be a safe queen, but every time I see one, I think I should own it, especially with long range sights.
I was pretty lucky and got my main responsibilities done by 38, so I was...
...and yet they had so much wisdom.
I know that a lot of the rights had been developed over the centuries, and spelled out in documents like the Magna Carta, but it is very seldom that I meet a young man with that kind of wisdom.
From that matter, it is very seldom I meet an old retired...
There definitely are some people who live right that are not active in a Christian Church. Years ago, I dated a very clean living, kind, loving woman that was an Atheist. Not against God, just did not believe. Very rare.
Here is a comment by a founding Father:
John Adams said, “Our...
Back about 1975 or 1980, I think all shops did that bound book entry. I was living in Illinois at the time and I thought it was because I was from out of state, even though I had a valid FOID from Illinois. Seemed like a lot of bother for a 79 cent box of .22 wildcats
That is what Dick's used to do. I showed my ID st Dicks to buy a couple of flats of shot shells. The clerk started populating a digital form. I demanded she stop and get a manager. I believe they were "registering" me. After some tense words he agreed this grey bearded man was over 21 and...
They have a B52 in the Wright Patterson Air museum in the building. There is something amazing when you walk under the 185 foot wingspan, see the mass of the thing and realize that it can fly over 600 MPH. It is pretty pricey, but the EAA gives sky rides in their B17. one of those one in a...
I have a Weber that is 10 plus years old. Cast iron grates, Porcelain hood. It is the smaller 3 burner model. We use it pretty much all summer and some in the winter also. I put new burners in it this spring even though the old ones worked but were burning uneven. $35 on Amazon. It was...
They are nuts. I also pay more for service fee than for gas most of the year. I am with Center Point energy. All that insulation and other upgrades and I still pay more, but they tell us we age getting a real bargain on the gas we use.
