Well what I've read most start out with somethjng cheap and years down the road they go blue. Along the road they have nothing but trouble which is great if you want to learn the ins and outs of it. In my 37 years I've learned that if you buy it cheap, you buy it twice.
What you have is a full length guide rod. Replace it with a 2 piece. FLGR does nothing for accuracy, but it helps the spring from binding. I personally feel it is much easier to compress the spring and breakdown my guns with the FLGR. My 1911s with bull barrels and tapered barrels use FLGR. My...
Local Gun Store. I was just messin around. Dont worry about it.:)
Andrew, I am the one meeting you tomorrow (saturday)
That raffle ticket is a damn good idea! I think she would notice how much my luck has changed. That is why I don't gamble (raffles, lottery, boats, russian roulette)
Hey Mark. I am sorry that your phone was out, but I have it taken care of. I was really wanting to check out your store. You got the coolest name out there. I pass through Seymore upon occasion, and I will stop by the next time through.
I plan on starting out with the minimum load as recommended by the manufacture, then work my way up. I will check these recipes to be sure they aren't too hot. The last thing I want to do is blow a barrel off a $3000 pistol.
I appreciate the recipes guys. Keep em coming. :rockwoot:
I was wondering if someone would like to share their recipes for .45 ACP and the 308 round. I am looking for accuracy in my 1911s (Wilson and Nighthawk). A 200g semiwadcutter would be best in many peoples opinions. Going the cheap route is not my goal. I want to use the BEST components. I am new...
You have no idea what you are talking about. Its my money and I will do what I want with it. This is not out of the 'family' account. I am just looking to avoid upsetting my pregnant wife. That deed would just be reloading ammunition for her mouth. Its not like I would be forced to send it back...
Thanks guys. I wish I could order from Brian. His website rocks. I tried bite the bullet and they have a new number or are out of business. North ok Kokomo is closer anyways. I'll being going there. I can't believe there is not a dealer in Indy.
Does anyone know of a Dillon dealer in Indiana? Close to Indianapolis would be best. I want a 550b. My wife would be mad if I got it in the mail. I could easily sneak it in the garage if I picked it up locally.
Thanks
Coming to the class tomorrow. I dont know a thing about IDPA. What do I need? IWB or OWB holster. I prefer 1911s with 7 shot mags. How many extra mags in holders do I need? Hardball of Self defense ammo?
Thanks
Doom Of Man
We got a lot in common my friend. I am from Fishers, just got married last month, have not had any professional training but can shoot, and am looking for some training. What did you come up with? I am considering going to the ACC May 21st... if the wife says its ok.
Hey, whats up? I can't send a private yet so I thought I would try here. I am from Fishers (126 and Allisonville) as well and try to shoot at least once a week. I don't have anyone to shoot with usually, so if you ever need a ride to the range hit me up. I shoot high end 1911s (try to anyways)...
He didnt say you dont know what you are talking about. You are correct is saying the mark4 is used by the military, and is also what I use just for that simple reason. Correct me if I am wrong but the dude that made the longest shot ever recorded to kill a man used the mark4 on a .338 Lapua. The...
I went into Elmore's for the first time 6 months ago. Since then, I have spent 15k on 4 firearms. Sure they may have msrp on the tag, but if you are willing to haggle with them, they will knock some off the top. Me? I dont haggle and pay the asking price, and they usually throw in a box or 2 of...
Congrats on the DPMS. I got the DPMS SSAS a few weeks ago. I put a Leupold Mark 4 LRT 3.5-10x Illuminated for it. It cost almost as much as the gun though! Bad news for someone on the business end of it up to 1000 yards. The gun was made for the military and the scope is used in the military. I...
