I as well would also recommend the LCP. Get a good quality holster for it and you're set. With its small frame and light weight features, it makes for a very concealable firearm while running.
Thanks for the great review. I checked out those as well but didn't think much of it at the time. I'll definitely be looking into them as well. I also am for mainly relying on the iron sights for a self defense firearm as well, but I like the piece of mind about a laser just in case, should...
I picked up my first LCP a few weeks ago and after being at the range for about 5 hours today taking a conceal carry class, I got to thinking about possibly adding either a Lasermax or Crimson Trace laser to it. For all of you LCP fans out there, which do you prefer and why? And forgive me if...
As with many of the responses on here, you can never go wrong with the Glock 19. Carry mine almost everyday and never have any issues using it at the range. Great price and reliability is definitely on par.
I thought so too. If I don't end up getting this one, I want to find a custom engraver to have one made that reads "Bona Nox." (Latin for goodnight) Thought it was kind of appropriate.

Let's see now that I think about it, I was actually a good boy this year and kept it under a grand. A couple hundred for ammo, some for show fees, a little set aside for a tactical shooter's course here, and a few new accessories. All in all, probably $750-800 total in 2011.
I applied online, did the L1 fingerprinting, paid a visit to local PD, paid the remaining fee, modeled for a quick pic, and received it approximately 3 weeks later. Quick and easy.
