WTS: Remington 700 SPS Tactical TB 308

---SOLD--- For your consideration is a nib/unfired Remington 700 SPS Tactical threaded barrel. I bought it several years ago and never got around to doing anything with it. I've decided I want something specific and need to free up some funds and space. Price: $550 I'm in the Vigo...

What handgun for an elderly woman?

Having had a similar journey with my wife, she decided on a S&W 38. Due to her health she no longer is able to manipulate the slide on the automatics without significant difficulty. But she can operate the revolver proficiently. The biggest thing is she feels confident in operating the...

      Whats your favorite gun, GO!

Its difficult to pick just one. So I'd say my smile maker is a S&W 15-3 that I inherited. Its on the third generation in our family as it was my Grandfather's originally. Nothing spectacular about it. A little surface rust on an otherwise nice blued finish but it does shoot well. A nice...

Armed Neighborhood Groups Form In The Absence Of Police Protection

Thanks for sharing. An interesting article. I agree and support what they were doing in the absence of police protection. Unfortunately I think it would take one justifiable self defense shooting by the residents/business owners and the media and politicians would descend on them as being an...

      380 pocket gun

First carried an AMT Backup 380, 20 yrs ago. Was never very fond of it so just stopped carrying it. Then got a S&W Bodyguard a few years ago. Its accurate but that trigger is alot to get used to. After firing some coworkers' Sig 238, Glock 42 and Walther PPK, I'd definitely go that direction if...

What is your longest serving CCW handgun ?

For me its my Glock 27 for the last 15+ years. Its carried almost daily with a +1 magazine extension so I can have a full grip. If its not the primary, then I carry it as a backup to its bigger siblings the Glock 22 or 23, depending which of those two is being carried that day. Stay safe

      PSA: Avoid botach.com

I'll add that my experiences have mirrored everyone else's. Some good, some bad. Their customer service is hit or miss as well. All depends on the deal they offer whether I buy from them. But I never really buy from them when I need "it" or have to have "it" in a timely manner. Stay safe

      SIG Release OVerrun MHS M17s

After listening to their video about how they came to offer them as surplus, sounds feasible I guess. And as long as they aren't cost prohibitive, I maybe interested in getting one. Stay safe.

      Back-up choice

Was helping a friends wife work on her shooting with her LC9. It had a heavy trigger that was difficult for her to manage. We borrowed a S&W 380EZ and her shooting vastly improved. The slide was easier for her to manipulate and the trigger was night and day different/better. In her case, it made...

SIG Announces Commercial Sales of MHS M18

      Sig P320 M17

I bought the Bravo model ( the black version). I really dont care for the tan/fde color. After a couple hundred rounds, it's been 100% reliable and more accurate than I am. The trigger is fine as is but the trigger reset seems a bit mushy or not nearly as crisp and obvious as any of my Glocks. I...

      Ankle Carry

I've used a Desantis for last 15yrs and now have a Galco Ankle Glove I'm trying. I ankle carry my Glock 27 in my off hours. It works for me without printing. I generally wear a hiking boot style or occasional dress shoe. It's not ideal for a primary weapon but works for me for a backup.

Living Life with Just an SAK

As other knives come and go in my pocket, the SAK Tinkerer has been my EDC knife since 1990. I've had three, just buying the third last month. It always seems the red scales give up long before the blades/tools. Stay safe

Picked up a new pokey ended EDC tool

That's an interesting little knife. Unfortunately I already carry a key ring reminiscent of a school janitor. But it definitely is an interesting option. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe

      Just bought my first Glock

I carry a Glock 27 almost everyday. I have for the last 15 yrs. It's been 100% reliable and the felt recoil was less than my gen3 Glock 22. I added a +1 extension to the factory magazine and it allows me to get a full hand grip on it. I also will carry it with a Glock 23 or 22 magazine as the...

Rookie officers bug out in San Antonio shooting, leave Sgt. to fend for himself

I have to agree and disagree. Why do all of us that carry a firearm, citizen or officer, practice drawing from our holsters..? To develop the muscle memory to do it smoothly, quickly, efficiently when we have to. The same is for the mental side of the coin. A new officer has to have the very...
