      Hate the idea of NRA convention in Indy

      A few years back my wife and I stumbled on to what she thought was a craft show in downtown Indy........until 4 men pranced up to us wearing just their underwear and glitter. I am sure that this lady would approve! My wife couldn't drag me away from there fast enough. I couldn't stop laughing.

      Ammo at Blythes

      I stopped by Blythes in Griffith yesterday. They had ammo! 9mm, 357, 45, 40, 223, 38 spec, and 22 in 50 rd boxes. The prices were higher than in the past and they limit to 4 boxes of 22 or 2 boxes of CF. I bought 2 boxes of 357 for $29 each.

      I just bought a Ruger Lcr 357 and ordered a LaserMax for it. I am wondering if anyone has used a pocket holster with this combination? I don't think that the usual holsters will accommodate this set-up.

      Stopped in today and was treated really well by the sales guy. I told him I wasn't buying , but wanted to look. He took out several guns for me to checkout and we had a nice discussion. Great experience!

      Seems that moving to a more rural area will not stop criminals. The people that move there usually have more stuff worth stealing and it takes longer for authorities to respond.

      stopped at the Hobart store yesterday. The sales guy suggested this would be a good time to switch to 17 cal guns. Lots of 17, no 22 or 223 or 357 or 45. There was some 40 caliber and 9mm. I checked a local store near Rockford,IL today to see if things were better. Same story, different...
