      Getting my GF into shooting

      I hooked up with a gun friendly girl 6 1/2 years ago. She was the BB gun instructor in her boy's Scout troupe. Lisa, aka Annie Oakley, sometimes puts us to shame out on the range. 22, 223, 7.62x39, or 45-70 Gov't. doesn't matter to her! Only thing I can outshoot her with is my 1911!

      Creeper at the Shooting Range...

      That's why I'm thankful I'm blessed with private property to get my range time on! Great Grampa cleared about 60 acres of recently drained Kankakee wetlands with a team of 2 horses. My dad still had the iron bog shoes that the horses wore!

      Is this a safe area to shoot

      Guy that rents my dad's farm took out a property/tree line for his irrigation system. Mostly cottonwoods, and poplars. I cut 10' off the lower trunks, & 4 15' poles. Sunk the poles in a square, and stacked the trunks up in them, with all 4 wired together at the top. Lasted about 8 years...

      I carry a Makarov and a 1911 in an Alessi Watch Six IWB. Makarov is fine in almost all situations. (not laying underneath the Ranger trying to get the gas tank straps out!       Rat Terrier to wake me up, 870 Express with slugs, & 1911 with 230 gr Golden Sabers to finish up.

      Are Glock people also Apple people?

      Not my sister in law! Glocks are too light. I'm a big heavy 1911 type. Not discarding Glock as junk, as they are proven reliable 1st class pistols, I just can't shoot one worth a doo-doo!
