      Something in the 4-600 range. Want something that can stand up to a lot of woods and brush, but be premium when the time comes. Do these compensate well for deer hunting at 100-150 yards?

      Rem 700 in .308 for deer

      I was recently looking for a 308 myself and was comparing. Check out the Ruger American...for a hunting rifle it fit the bill for me. Great gun so far for me
