You could always just photoshop the wrong serial number in place of the real one. That way no one thinks you are anywhere close to as paranoid as you really are.
Not unless you live next to this guy: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/general-firearms-discussion/320766-how-deal-neighbor-who-believes-trees-adequate-backstop.html
Alan, got it in the mail today. Thanks for the quick turn around.
Havent mounted/shot it yet but i am impressed. I got the Crossfire II 4-12x50 mentioned in this thread. Glass is large and clear. Looks like it will do the job. I didnt even realize it came with a sunshade. Bonus!
The first rifle I ever shot was that of 243. If i ever get a new bolt action it will be in 243. I think this is an all around great round and if nothing else readily available. During the most recent ammo craze, 243 was consistently on the shelves when nothing else was. I like that.
Yeah I have been reading up on 17 WSM on rimfirecentral and it looks like the B.mag could go either way. Some guys are getting great results, others quite poor. I found it reassuring that Savage is either giving refunds or exchanging them in some cases. Ammo availability seems to be an issue now...
I don't. If I did it would be 12 ga. target loads, as that is what i shoot most. I have done the math and after sourcing materials I would be able to put a box of 25 together for ~ $4.75-$5.00. I can buy bulk (20 flats) of Fiocchi for $5.75 delivered. With these numbers, it would take me 500...
I think biathlon would be a lot of fun to do, plus it would give me an excuse to get an Anschutz straight pull. I just wish there were a version where it was downhill, and from a snowboard.
I dont know about a kit, but my favorite tool is an adjustable hand torque driver. It is adjustable from 0 to 36 inch-pounds and can be really helpful when tightening screws on scope mounts and stock takedowns. I got a nice one used on ebay for less than $40. Well worth it.
