INGO member db308 gave me a dial pad and actuator this past weekend for free, unfortunately it did not fit. But He was a kind enough to bring it to me and not charge a thing. I thought a lot of what he tried to do so I want to Thank him. Any help with good reps for him would be nice.
Locksmith showed up from Kentucky and drilled opened the safe, Now ammo and mags are reunited with the long guns.:rockwoot: The new actuator that cannon sent to replace my old one was installed and it was bad also.:bash: Had to be shimmed or it would not unlock the door. What are they doing at...
The new keypad did not work. I called Cannon and after some much heated conversation they set me up with a Locksmith out of KY. He is coming today to drill the safe. I talked to the locksmith and he had me try many different ways to get in and no luck. he will bring a new Keypad and actuator. He...
I'm hoping the new keypad gets me in. If not I'm going in thru the bottom, beat the fire resintance drywall out of the way and open door. I will change out the actuator and add a spin dial and weld a new bottom on safe. Then bolt it down to floor in my shop.
I fellow INGO member is shipping a new keypad and lock actuator to me in todays mail. When it gets here this week I will try to get in. If it does not work, I'm in on blowing it apart. I'm not sure about the 3000-5000 rnds of ammo and all my magazines for my long guns. That might get a little hairy.
I just hope a few more sparks from a saw and drill will not void the :poop: warranty. Would not want cannon to take me off their Christmas card list.:redxdance:
New batteries don't work, I have 9.42 volts coming out. There are four wires coming off the keypad heading into the safe, one red, one black one yellow and last one is green. We have tried using a ohmer and don't get any place with that. If I don't hear from cannon safes soon, I'm going in via...
As far as service provider in my area I don't have a clue. If you can post if someone is closer to me then that's fine. I'm just about read to cut in to that son of a gun!
If your near the North Vernon area then I would be more then willing to pay you to get me into the safe. I have the prof that its mine, and I would also have no problem having a sheriffs deputy meet us at my place and let them watch. They will be able to verify its mine ,LOL.
When cannon Safes had me on the phone the customer support person had me unplug the battery then unplug the keypad. I was holding the keypad in my hand and the wire was not pluged in. The wire was still hooked to the bolt lock actuator. The keypad was bad per customer support, number 9 on key...
Thanks Cameramonkey- The reset code does include the number 9. The keypad controls the combo, the lock inside the safe is working off a lever that blocks the handle to open the bolts.
Update- Cannon made contact with me and we went thru the steps to use the breakin code for my serial number for my safe. No luck, the keypad is shot- the number 9 on the pad is not working. It does not beep when using the code that cannon gave me over the phone. Now I wait 2-3 weeks she said...
