I lived and commuted in an area that had these for years and I can honestly say these are crap. The biggest thing I can remember from my time in Minnesota is when these were removed and traffic improved dramatically.
The Twin Cities must have put them back, because they had removed them back in 2005 or so. I moved to Minnesota in 1998 and they had them everywhere in the Twin Cities area. They don't work. They are a horrid idea. I celebrated my butt off when they removed them and I can honestly say that...
Both are fine, thanks. Well, at least I think the optic is fine. Bit of a scrape on the top where it hit concrete and the dot was still on. Will be testing it next Monday to verify.
Learned a valuable lesson at the range today. Was shooting my Shadow 2 Compact and had something come back and smack me in my forehead. I figured it was a brass casing, but they hadn't been kicking back like that (and it had really hurt). Went to raise the gun to shoot again and was like...

If you can go through the week it's much better than on the weekend. The range is smaller than places like Point Blank, but I like going there better than going...

BTW, I also have a Weber charcoal grill for when I want to take my time and grill up a nice steak with some smoke. For most things, I prefer to use gas as it's quicker and easier. Charcoal makes a good alternative for those times I have the time to deal with it and I will say that for a steak...
I'm also a Weber guy. I always used to scoff at the idea of paying so much money, but my old grills usually didn't last more than 5 or 6 years and my Weber is on year 12 and still kicking. I've replaced vaporizer shields once in all that time.
