My daughter and I had this conversation about a month ago. She thought I was a bit paranoid for always carrying around the house. I explained that it kept the gun out of the hands of any grandkids who might be visiting and there was no need to go retrieve it in the event of need.
Maybe we could split the country in half. I'd even let them choose, west of the Mississippi or east of it. Those of us that believe in liberty would no doubt be prosperous on whichever side we ended up with.

I sorta feel that way about Chicago. I used to say it was OK for a visit, what with the museums and such, but I have no interest in even a short visit these days.

Most of my family knows, doesn't care or carries their own gun. In the rare case of extended family that might object, I just make certain I'm concealed and don't discuss the fact that I'm armed.
