I bought stock in Vista at about $28. It went to $40 in 2021, then dropped back to $30 and largely sat there until I sold it.
How does an company that owns several ammo manufacturers not make money this last 3 years?
Our weeknight match this month is tomorrow, May 1. Registration starts 5pm, shooting start is 5:30, accept late entries until 6pm.
As the days get longer, we'll push the start time back to 6pm.
Format this month is "Half & Half". Each 20 shot string will have a distant change every 5 shots...
I was told by a college shooting coach that 10-ring ammo doesn't help unless you're a 10-ring skill level shooter. Airgun and smallbore shooters with 8 ring skill can practice with 8 ring ammo because a 8 ring shot with 10 ring ammo still only scores a 8, whereas a 8 ring shot with 8 ring ammo...
I have an oversized tennis racket from the 70's. Yesterday, I put 6 players from team Bee on the permanently disabled list. You have to spot & stalk to get within reach, and maintain discipline to score hits.
I did much the same in the late '70's. Accurate 5744 and Trail Boss are likely powder candidates for discontinued SR4759 that was a popular powder for this purpose. I used 46 grains of 3031 with a Sierra 110 HP on ground hogs one season. The light bullet didn't recoil much, you could probably go...
Good that you should ask. There is more to it than just reducing the powder, and is the reason reloading manuals show minimum powder charges as well as maximum. Some manuals even list acceptable reduced loads.
I am very pleased to inform that RCC will be hosting a portion of the Indiana State 4H Shooting Sports Championship. Event will take place this Saturday at RCC. Hosted disciplines will include 10 meter air rifle, 50 yard small bore, and .22 silhouette (rifle & handgun). We will be utilizing a...
I'm sure. I went with my buddy to the assessor's office. They told him they couldn't determine usable/unusable on his pool and to fill it in, and we both understand the logic. What threw us was taxing the sidewalk.
Bought this house in 2000, added shed immediately. Tax description provided by...
Put a reasonable cap on it, or tiers like our progressive tax rate. A single, elderly homeowner getting $1700/month from SSI shouldn't have to pay $200/month in property tax because their 47 year old house has an assessment based on a market geared around $80k incomes earned by his neighbors.
Send them all to Ukraine. Arm them. Tell them they can have anything east of the Russian border that they can take and hold as long as they stay there.
Retired folks have largely fixed income. My pension from former employer has no cost of living increases, same dollar amount each month for last 14 years. Property tax has increased 100% in last 20 years, social security is nowhere close to that.
Imagine living at age 50 on the same wage/budget...
Agree. I'm taxed on my crawl space. Attached garage is part of the house and taxed at 1%. Detached garage is 3%. Concrete patio, 12x20 shed for mower/tools, gazebo for fire pit, etc are all 2-3%. Totally against the spirit of the original 1% cap. Buddy bought house with unusable in ground pool...
