I'm sorry you had an ND. I hope your hand heels up. I always double check. I always check after I set a firearm down as well.
It takes balls to admit this to the world. You will be more careful from now on I'm sure.
I'd have just made sure the firearm was with you. In a holster is it's best place.
Taking the safety off when you had no reason to shoot was excessive. Also why would you cock a DA handgun?
Good shooting on his part and I'm glad he made it out alive.
Officers confiscating firearms after a shooting is the reason I always have a handgun hidden so I wouldn't end up being defenseless.
Why did he want to search your vehicle and why did you let him?
After talking to so many people who have disclosed to LE when they don't have to I never will unless required by state law.
I just got done watching another another video which was from WI about an OC picnic. I think I saw 6 people who had no active retention on their OC holsters.
I have weapons retention training. I have handgun training. I have experience with force on force grappling. Why in the world would...

I have been told that homeless people...
I picked up a digital voice recorder at walmart that was on clearance and it can record for 30 hours on a set of batteries. I read some people just hit play when they leave the house. This sounds like a good idea, but I'm sure it would record that well out of my pocket.
At least this way I...
Open carry is legal in WI. It has been for a very long time, but LE would arrest you for disturbance or make up something else.
OC is now starting to pick up very strongly after the attorney general told LE it is legal to do so :). Still many issues to overcome.
I picked up a sony digital voice recorder today. I am planning on having it with me when I OC in IN and WI.
Do you have to secretly press record or can you just pull it out and start recording? Do officers have a problem with this? I'm pretty sure it should be legal.
How do you do it?
