Mine has been a dandy, it's my woods gun. It replaces my old heritage Texan I bought in the 80's.
It seems like a very solid gun. I like that I can carry with six.
I put wood grips on it, I think it looks and shoots better than a $200 gun should.
I would love a single six, but for what I use...
I carry a 22 revolver I bought in the 80's. I carry in a leather side holster with a snap strap.
It is on an old web belt, I strap it on over whatever I'm wearing.
Anytime I'm on the mower or tractor I wear it. Anytime we walk in the woods I carry it.
It and a flash light are first line...
They don't fit bad in the hand are heavy, ugly and apparently reliable.
I have considered one to load with 9mm shot and use around the house/woods for a "snake" gun.
I have never been on a range. I am lucky enough to have my own place to shoot.
But if the ones at the range are half as bad as some of them on the net, I can see why folks get feed up...
Shield, I love mine and shoot it the best of any I have.
I had a 709 slim, didn't like the trigger at all.
My brother just bought a new 111 G2, its a nice gun, but I like the shield much better. He likes my shield better too...
I have to admit that I like to carry my shield 9mm over my LCP II (380).
But, I carry my LCP II much more often. It is so very easy to conceal, it is my EDC.
I am not really sure why that is, I shot both well. I have never had a malfunction with either.
The difference between 9mm and 380...
It needs to be instilled in everyone, good and bad that if you fight with the cops, things will go bad for you. Sometimes way bad.
Hopefully she was doing the right thing for the right reason and is rewarded with praise for her efforts.
I don't normally carry anyplace because of the people that are suppose to be there.
I carry because of certain people that might show up.
Church is much like that.
Its the only place I know where we welcome the criminal element and offer them a real hope for the future.
We have been broken...
I know its not the cool thing these days and all the guys "in the know" consider it foolishness I have even been called irresponsible for doing so, but I carry without one in the pipe. And always will.
Most are even glad to show you a bunch of you tube videos "proving" just how stupid my mode...
I don't OC very often, I just got tied of all the attention I was getting from the woman folk.
Its hard enough the way it is, but you add the natural attraction of a visible firearm to this package, and you almost need a stick...
BTW my lawyer called earlier, turns out some distant relation of...
Frankly if a situation arises that a gun is needed to address it, I would rather the gun be in my control.
The OP's story points out one of the reasons I almost never open carry.
"Loose lips sink ships"...
