      What do you use?

I like paint pens. Pick any color you want. Real permanent, and you change whenever you want to with a little turpentine. You can find them at hobby stores, fabric stores etc.

This would be my first outing with INGO, and am looking forward to meeting more gun nuts like myself! Need to see how far this is, but teanatively coming. Just me, unless I can russell up some more nuts. Will bring AR-15 w heavy barrel, 700 rem, and couple 9 mm, Ruger, and a Taurus.

      Targets for Wilber Wright

They now charge a lot to shot there. It is a beautiful range, newly built, semi enclosed. All in all, the nicest out door range I ever been to. just don't like to pay to use it....

      Appleseed April 17-18: 5x In. Events (Nashville/Cloverdale/Evansville/Wabash/FtWayne)

My wife went with me last year for her first "training". We encountered a few women at the Appleseed, and she had a lot of fun, as well as learned a lot.

      9mm for home/self defense?

I prefer Sabre HP by Remington 115gr. They're not too heavy and bullet drop doesn't seem to be as big a factor as some 126gr and 142gr ammo I have tested. In regards to the over penetration issue. I use a shotgun with a pistol grip for CQB, loaded with bird shot for first two rounds, 00 Buck...

      DeerCreek Conservation Club

A friend of mine is a member there. I really like that club! I have used up my visits:(. I would join, but I think it's just too far from Indy, I would'nt go enough to make the price of membership worth it.

      Home Defense VS Range time

Dry fire, dry fire, dry fire. There is a $50 a item that you can get and install in the barrel, which will shot a laser beam out to show the approx. projectile hit for dry fire exercise. Even without that, I have been told by many excellent shooters that dry fire is key to your range time being...

      Ballistic Tipped Ammo seating

I am an average re-loader. I understand the concept and enjoy adding steps that improve the accuracy and quality of the round. However, I am wondering if there is a "trick" to seating a ballistic tipped round, considering the density of the tip, and pressing on it etc, Any help, or advice is...

      How is your Garden Growing

I was under the impression, that I would not necessarily start plants inside, weeks ago. I am planning on doing some raised beds, but was going to wait until after the threat of a frost. Also, does anyone know if I can plant over septic fingers in the back yard. The grass sure grows like crazy...

      right or wrong

Anna? No, no relation to me. However, you might be interested to know, that the name Levesque in Canada, is like Smith here in the lower 48. Very popular. esp. in Quebec. No prob on the manning up, it only took me 35 or so of my 40 to figure out how to swallow pride. It aint so bad. Looking...

      Safes

I own the Brinks, with the 4 bit key entry. It seems strong enough to me. The goal I guess, is to make it as much a pain as possible for someone to defeat any safe, or alarm or whatever. I bolted mine to the wall,(which is cinder block), and the floor. I blocked off the gap between the wall and...

      right or wrong

I went back thru this thread, and I see I did miss a very valid point to what was being said among the members. My capitalism remark was a general comment, not a slam, nor was I agreeing to ripping off members. The whole family thing, well I kind of missed that. I guess I am too new to INGO, and...

      right or wrong

I love free market capitalism. What's wrong with providing a product someone is willing to buy, that you obviously found before the did. Otherwise there would be no supply and demand. This is exactly what this new regime is attempting to destroy, and put communism/socialism in it's place.

      Why do you carry?

Why not? I carry for the obvious reasons. I'm a "Sport Shooter" and am always ready for competition:draw:.LOL And I have a little piece of paper that says i can... Fooled you, it's the Constitution. :n00b:

      Reloading 5.56/.223

Powder suggestion Hodgdon BLC II is a very good powder. Although as previously stated, get what you can, when you can. It's still out there,(reloading supplies) you may just have to wait a bit. The BLC II seems to be the most popular. I understand CCI are some of the best primers as well. I...

      Black Talons?

The evening I after I asked this question, I received an email from a friend with all kinds of specs and ballistics on all popular carry/self defense rounds, mostly gathered from law enforcement data, and painstaking info gathering. If anyone is interested, tell me how to post a large document...
