I've owned several Caldwell bipods and had good luck with them. They run a little less $$ than the Harris but have worked well for me. That being said, I prefer my Harris bipods.
I always carry +P hollow points. Except when I'm carrying a .357, don't need the +P with them, still like hollow points though. I'd carry FMJ if it's all I had. Better than throwing rocks by far.
I use lots of different holsters, but typically for me I use plastic holsters for plastic guns and leather for steel. Something visually nice about blued steel, wood and leather to me.
I carry both ways, but weapon is always in the same spot regardless of which one I'm carrying or whether it's OC, CC or as I do many times both. One on my belt on the right and one in my right pocket.
I love mine. It is accurate and reliable. Shoot it a lot, but carry a Glock 26 or 30SF. 92FS and 1911's are two of my favorite shooters, but both are heavy for everyday carry. I do enjoy carrying them every once in a while.
One reason I try to use cash. So far the Government has not regulated it's use. Well actually they have I guess, but only if the amount exceeds $10,000.
I'd go with the ruger 10/22 for a semi auto, the CZ 452 American for a bolt action or the Henry for a lever action. The Rossi combos are nice too for single shot with the option of changing to a shotgun for added enjoyment. I have all these and enjoy them all. The ruger probably has the most...
