      gunz

I imagine something like a wine cellar for guns. Long guns into padded tubes, tubes into slots and locked into place. Small arms into padded lock boxes, same procedure. More of a vault than a cellar but considering the value of some vintages, same difference :D

Where do you carry your blades?

Pocketknife clipped in right front watchpocket, larger stuff OWB. -edit- I had that boot knife (stamped Western USA 777 Stainless) Coating on the blade flaked off immediately, Tip bent soon after, not too big an issue.. until the blade snapped near the base. This was with medium use and no...

      Post your favorite 1911 grips

I like the feel/profile of old-style checkered wood grips but I'd be interested in something with equal hand purchase that digs in less. You can keep the finger grooves though :D *Django watches the thread.

      1911 Pistol Discussion

Kimber, Springfield, and RIA aren't bad. I've only had a couple problems with Para Don't have any Sigs in 1911 (unless 220 counts.. :D) or S&W, Taurus, Olympic For the most part I've had better luck with Colt. My money's on the ponies

      How do you say "INGO"

IN-GO/eeen-go Depends on how easily/quickly the acronym rolls off the tongue Vs. a mushed version. msrp is always M-S-R-P

      Nanny State Strikes Scouts

Crayons? You could poke an eye out with one of those! Next up for ban: Pointy sticks! Only by deforesting entirely and removing wood from buildings can we prevent the deadly menace that are sticks and.. sticks with nails in. We MUST keep people from using these implements for destruction...

      Plastic Guns

Of note: The braindead comment was for me (for making the first post) I'm not confusing smaller/lighter with polymer. All else equal (frame size, round count, etc), the steel weighs more. I never said the difference was significant. Good idea Kicks self for not thinking of it Also, politeness...

      Plastic Guns

:): I doubt anyone actually READS entire threads before posting. Otherwise they'd realize it isn't about the guns at all, but a poorly worded inquiry after mental training/techniques. Lesson of the day? Don't post when you're braindead. :D

Pants = optional :D Agree 100% Been wearing the same belt since the mid nineties. It takes a significant amount of weight to distort it. I find heavier arms press/pull just enough to be noticed whereas I don't feel lighter ones at all after a period of adjustment. While I agree Mental...

      Best shop near Fort Wayne?

KT I would have mentioned (as it's a decent place) but I took "not much selection" to mean they wanted a larger inventory Shooters lurker guns don't count :D

      Plastic Guns

Beyond followup shot placement weight gives a firearm a sense of presence. I guess I feel more comfortable with the absolute knowledge that it is there (weight against hip) and with care, something able to function like a tack driver isn't likely to fail. Sure, many polymer guns meet the second...

      Best shop near Fort Wayne?

Or try Shooters in New Haven (Heading down Coliseum take the second exit onto Lincoln highway, it's across the street from Krogers) Jerry is a nice guy and prices are usually reasonable. Inventory changes from day to day.

      Plastic Guns

Was originally going to post in General firearms.. then I got sidetracked. This thread is not meant to incite flamewars, it is for entertainment/informational purposes only. Read at your own risk. My problem with polymer frames (beyond irrational belief that they will fail catastrophically or...
