Yeah, I bet someone stupid enough to leave his/her handgun lying around where kids con get it, is going to be careful enough to purchase and use a biometric locking device! Riiiight!
That's a good looking setup for car carry, but I think I would be at least a little bit nervous with the muzzle aimed at my foot . Never a good idea to sweep body parts!! Maybe it could be mounted further back pointed straight down.
You mentioned the Ruger SR22. It is indeed a weak round compared to the SD calibers. But, having reached my 77th year I find there is one or two (maybe more) things I can't realistically do. I carry my S&W Shield 9 most of the time, but it is hard for me to rack the slide and the mag release...
At 77 I've just had cataract surgery. I have worn trifocals for many years and did pretty well with them. I was encountering night-vision/glare/halo/dimness problem. After the surgery I am now fine without glasses except for my readers. No surgery is fun, but cataract surgery is quick...
A fairly simple and accurate rule of thumb is: The longer a bullet in in the barrel with the expanding gases pushing it, the faster it will travel. e.g. rigles vs handguns.
When I got my Shield there weren't many holster options. I went to the holster box and found an old one from Kolbesson I had for my G26. Near perfect IWB fit. Who'd a thunk it?
Since any gun (or other piece of machinery) can fail at any time, maybe we should spend as much time on TAP, RACK, BOOM as we do throwing very expensive o downrange.
+My Ruger SR22 fun gun will eat anything that says CCI or Blazer on it! It will absolutely not tolerate anything Federal (sloping shoulder on the rim I think). Most Remington will function, but not for too long because it is so dirty. I haven't tried WWB yet. Just picked some the other day...
IL just looked on the Alessi web page and was surprised to learn that they make holsters to fit the "GLOCK J-FRAME REVOLVER". Bet no one saw that one at the SHOT Show!!:dunno:
I've been to
I've been to Tims 4 times. I live in Fishers and it is a little closer than BGF - but not much. I went through their safety video, 3 pieces of CYA paperwork every trip, and put up with the attitude three times. The 4th time I again went through the paperwork and thought I was...
I've had an UPLULA for several years now and I know from experience that it works on g19, g26, Bersa .380, Ruger lc9, M&P Shield, and Springfield XDm. Just about the handiest accessory you can find. I hope the one I have lasts forever, but if it doesn't I'll buy another. I also bought a .22...
