      .22LR or .223/5.56 to train?

      If I want to get into the AR platform, is it better to practice with an AR-style .22 or should I just go right to the standard .223/5.56? I like how cheap .22 ammo is, but it isn't the same as the "real thing". Should I just buy both?

      Ok yeah that makes sense. I really only have pistol experience, where switching the mag release to left hand helps a lot.
