      What is your "go to" handgun

      I have a couple holsters each for 1911s, CZs and BHPs. I just haven't really attempted to carry any of them in quite some time. I was thinking about ordering a Versacarry for a 4.25" 1911 and giving that a whirl once again.

      What is your "go to" handgun

      As far as non-carry guns, I like 1911s, CZ75s and High powers. Tried carrying a couple different 1911s and it just didn't work out for me. Carried a CZ PCR (very similar to the P-01) for many years but I just prefer smaller guns for actual carry use. G43 and Shield Plus.

      I'm firmly in the small autoloader (G43, Shield, Kahr etc...) camp but back in the day, I carried a Taurus CHULT for pocket carry during the cold months and still have a 85 Ultra Lite that I sometimes carry when I don't want to wear a holster. These are usually during extremely low risk...

      Nothing much... it's just what I'd go for these days. If I had a perfectly good 243, I'd be unlikely to replace it with a 6mm Creed but I sold my 243 in about 2005 so... I bought a CZ in 6mm.

      Fifteen years ago, I'd say the 243. These days, I'd go 6mm Creedmoor. I've taken more Coyotes with lighter loaded 270s than any thing else.

      Best Pocket Carry…

      I usually only pocket carry during the cold months... jacket/coat pocket carry. Taurus M85 Ultra Lite loaded with 110 Gr +P Critical Defense. I've also pocket carried my G43 but it doesn't fit as well in my pockets.

      Last three deer I took with a centerfire were all with a 80 Gr GMX 243.

      ☆New Ruger American Rifle Generation II

      I have an original Ranch Rifle in 300 Blackout that is a great rifle... with a fairly crappy stock and the absolute worst magazines ever. My trigger isn't awful though I did replace the spring. I'd give a new one a whirl.
