If you watch closely you can see the laser sight dot from the long gun of the falling officer travel across the officer standing by the vehicle and also on the door of the police vehicle.
I think it is best to just let the merganser fly by. Making them taste good would be require totaling masking their flavor, so why bother in my opinion. In addition to tasting bad, I have read that there are warnings about consuming them if they feed from certainty n bodies of water.
Their CEO has no convictions. Now that he is in the the gun business, it wouldn't surprise me if his PR folks have him speak some kind words about gun ownership.
I say lower 150's gross and mid 140's net.
Boone and Crocket has a nice scoring sheet online with good instructions on how to measure. Just fill in the blanks and then you can print out the sheet which will give you both subtotal (net) and final (gross) score...
If you use the on-line Boone and Crocket scoring sheet you can print out and it will give you the "sub total" which is the net score. Pretty detailed instructions on which measurements to take for those who are not sure how to score...
I have processed a number of deer at home. Had some interesting conversations with people walking by in the neighborhood with a half cut up deer hanging in the garage. Never used anything other than a knife ( would use a saw to cut up the carcus after de-boning the entire deer). Properly...

Marlin 60, older model
Ruger 10/22 circa 1975
Both the Marlins shoot shoot 1/2" groups at 50 yards equipped with a symmons 22mag scope (gasp). Cannot say what the Ruger shoots as I loaned it to my dad about 15 years ago. For $500 I...
I'll second the "what is on the shelf at Walmart". I have been shooting Core-lokt for decades out of my 270 with excellent results. If your gun likes the core-lokt you will have an inexpensive choice that is available just about anywhere you will go. On a whim I tried some Hornady Superformance...
I have owned both an 870 Wingmaster and a Nova. Both very nice guns. Would recommend the Nova based on how easy it breaks down for cleaning. A used Nova with extra factory choke tubes can be had for $300 or so.
I bought a new shotgun/choke this year and had to pattern it: Super Vinci, Carlson XR .665 choke, and Winchester Long Beard shells. Spent an hour or two using google to find images of patterns using the same gun, choke, and shells I was wanting to try.
I had intended on using 3 1/2" shells...
